If they beat us, they can have it. But they won't beat us.

Home first again. Not good, given our prev record in these Semis.

Need to tune West Ham at home to make the 2nd leg easier.

From the side they put out this cup is the priority for the season. However, it won't be all plain sailing and if we both get though to the final it will be us who have to decide what the priority is.

MANAGER REACTION - Stoke 0-2 Man Utd
Manchester United manager David Moyes: "I'm glad we're through. It will be a tough semi-final against Sunderland. Sunderland played well to beat Chelsea so anything can happen but we are really pleased to be in the last four.

"The conditions were a leveller and it was really difficult to play in tonight. It's some of the worst conditions I've played or managed in. But once we got the first goal we felt confident.

"This club is used to winning trophies, it is business as usual."

Laughing my nuts off. Yeah. The same business as usual being you chasing Southampton and Newcastle for a reserve Europa cup slot

The weather was a leveller though, that's how the Rags had a chance.

PS. What is it with Sky, having a chit-chat with the 2 fuckwits when they should've been pulling the [strike]balls[/strike] cubes. And on that, what the fuck are the cubes you inbred bastards!

Ade rolled back the years and actually used his talent today with a good volley:

Two games v the rags, in the middle of a tough period, would have been a fucking nightmare imo.

It wouldn't be a question of beating them, it would be a question of how many players got injured or suspended. Imo, it would be several; they would make sure of it.

We would be compelled to put out a strong team, even if we had injury problems, because it's a derby.

This way, if the semi final gets in the way of the Prem challenge, or Europe, we can just fuck it off & stick Garcia plus 10 kids in the team to sink or swim. We couldn't do that v the rags.

Two seasons ago, Liverpool plus the rags, in cup games, almost cost us the title.

This was a great draw. As much as people would love us humiliate rags now that they are down, in grand scheme of things we don't need to make the spring any harder than it is.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

For the semi I tend to agree. Home and away in those dates would make it hard to rotate.

I would have much preferred the rags in the semi. Any concern we have with fixtures, risk of injuries etc. - they have the same - and we have a much better squad. I think that we would batter them us over 2 legs - and I want the scum buried - and a large TV audience to witness it

I watched the game with a Rag yesterday and awaited the draw. He was muttering on about a Big Derby in the semi and when it was drawn he actually jumped in sheer delight that they hadn't drawn us.

If that doesn't say something, I don't know what does.

And now the way it's been set there'll be an even bigger audience for the final. Funny that.

Much bigger I would say. Assuming they beat Sunderland of course.

Have to be honest, i would have loved to have drawn the filth. Spanking them in both legs would have been fun. Plus it would take away the chance of a fluke somehow allowing them to beat us in a one off game.
West Ham need to be taken seriously though. Hopefully we will destroy them at home and can relax about the away leg.
We all want to go to finals.
