Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Richard Jobson wasn't bad from set pieces.

Worst: MVF (RIP). Me and my bro used to call him Kyryten. The ball hitting his head was like throwing a snooker ball into a blender.

As for the current lot, Lescott is a great defensive header of the ball. It's no wonder - his head is like one of those big slabs that crush you on the Bowser lever of Mario Kart.

Attacking-wise, Negredo.

What about the Georgian 'King of the air'?

I am not going to attempt to spell it while using a phone.

Looking at any player around the world - Ronaldo is excellent in the air. He has a fantastic ability to leap and hang in the air, whilst the ball arrives. And he is able to put so much power into his headers.

In our squad, Lescott is probably best in the air. Usually always beats his man to the ball.

Tskhadadze (Peepo to his mates) was the gangly one who did his cruciate ligaments at the start of the 98/99 season. Shelia was the brick-shithouse one who briefly looked pretty good.

Got some fond memories of City headers from the past. The first outstanding header that I can remember at a game was Gaudino against Liverpool to give us a 2-1 win at Maine Road. My favourite CIty header has to be the Lescott goal at Bolton on the last day of the season a few years back. My dad spent a full season shouting 'Jobbo' whenever we got a corner. In terms of best header for a goal that I can remember, Le Sib takes it for scoring from the edge of the area against Leeds.

+1
Loved Quinn as a player, though one of my favourite Quinn moments was when he saved a Dean Saunders penner

I can't remember who it was against but Dave Watson scored a tremendous header from the edge of the box that went into the net like a rocket.
If it wasn't for the fact that we were in pre-Taylor report days we would all have stood in amazement.... Maybe we all sat down instead?

Just noodled around on YouTube and it turns out my recollection of edge of the box was hopelessly exaggerated but it's a hell of a header anyway. Also a few delights on the video as well, with a goal from Brian Kidd and not least the commentator calling the Ipswich defence "a bed of daffodils" http://youtu.be/qVip1P28mR8
