And now the way it's been set there'll be an even bigger audience for the final. Funny that.

Much bigger I would say. Assuming they beat Sunderland of course.

I wouldn't assume anything with them mate but I'm sure somebody will be looking down on them. They were gash against Sunderland earlier in the season until the new wonderboy scored a brace. And that was when the BlackCats were on a real downer.

Surely the Rags would have been more preferable. Easy to get to the pub after the game to gloat, since their fans have to travel back to London. The rags are a mid table team, rudderless and going nowhere. Sunderland however are scrapping for everything , so too whu.

How bad is Alan Brazil on TS?

I've been listening in since returning on Friday and he's very much all over Gollum and how he must be given time. This morning, he introduces Lou Macari as the 'former Stoke manager', which was quite a shock as I've known him as nothing other than a dirty arse licking Rag, but I thought 'Eh, we're gonna hear from a Stoke point of view, nice one. But alas, every question from Brazil was all Rag related, allowing Macari to get across how hard a job Gollum's got and how much time he would need; he's turning it round.

Amazing how they don't say that about Martinez at Everton or his take on how bad Spurs are doing (AVB deserved the sack) even though they are still sat 2 points above the Rags.

Funny old world.

Inevitable that we were gonna meet in a final at some point. Now is as good a time as any to face them.

Just to add that from a spectator point of view this is probably the best thing that could have happened for this competition.

Sat 11 Jan - Swansea H PL

Sun 19 Jan - Chelsea A PL
Wed 22 Jan - Sunderland H League Cup
Tue 28 Jan - Cardiff H PL

City

Sat 4 Jan - Blackburn A FA Cup
Wed 8 Jan - West Ham H League Cup
Sun 12 Jan - Newcastle A PL

You are missing an important weekend all together in there ... 28/29 Jan games are on Tue/Wed because the weekend of 25/26 Jan is the date for FA Cup 4th round ties ... we should be in it after beating Blackburn Rovers Away, but not sure where Scum will be after taking on Swans at the Swamp in their 3rd round tie.

So basically both of us don't know yet who we'll be playing 2/3 days after the second leg, and that could dictate (along with the result from the first legs) as to how lightly or seriously both clubs will take it ... just a small point here, their second leg is at home, while we will be away!

Yes, I left that out purposely as none of us are guaranteed and the emphasis was more on the game prior to the league cup games. They've got a days rest before they play us which will probably have a baring on their squad selection.

How many have you been to and how many have we lost? Please don't say 1, against Wigan.

That area's not really London - we just pretend it is because tourists fly into 'London Heathrow'

You'd be much better off getting the rail connection from Feltham (to Waterloo)

Jump on Waterloo and City line to Bank

Change there for District Line to Upton Park.

Door to door in just over the hour.
