Recall Wabara and let's have a look at him and Dedryck.

Milner deserves to stay in midfield where he is most effective.

Absolute bollocks. Who was it who started with the 'Thick Cunts' comment, it certainly wasn't anybody other than yourself.

Then you go all 'I can't even debate my points' bollocks when the truth is that's all we are doing.

You want to question the manager, a few have said that they understand why he played Zab's and gave reasons behind it; I know I did. That's not closing the debate down, it's giving another opinion to your own, and that's what the site is for, isn't it?

Look, if you now know you're wrong, just admit it. The bigger man and all that ;-)

You should know that this is standard operating procedure for Ted when he has run out of things to say. Instead of debating the point at hand, he dismisses the debate as being "never a debate in the first place" "ruined by twats like you" or "over long ago".

Really ?

I'm someone who ducks out of debating stuff ?

Interesting.

I must try harder in future.

Not seen Wabara since last season, but he was fucking thick as shit as a footballer then. Quick, but nowhere near as good as Boyata. I would be surprised & pleased if he was anywhere near good enough for City.

How is Facey looking these days? I've not seen him since the preseason. He might be an option for the bench IF we go with Dedryck and use Milner for his attacking form. I'm kinda curious to see what Demichelis could do as a fullback as well to be honest.

Facey is one of several young players who, imo, would have no problem at all playing in the first team abilitywise, it would be the physical & organisatonal attributes that I would question.

As far as football skills go, I would say that all of the EDS defenders are better footballers & on the whole quicker, than pretty much any of the current first team defenders. But they don't have the same build or the knowhow.

Shows what you know.

Whoever's saying Milner at right back ought to watch Phil Bardsley's goal for Sunderland. Boyata. Shame Toure needed to be moved for his wages on as he could have held down an end.

I think that's the kind of mistake that a midfielder can make when slotted in D, because he won't necessarily always be on to the run behind him. That being said ... milner was fouled on that play ... not to excuse him being out of position, but the goal should have never happened.

So which of the current EDS defenders do you think are less able on the ball than the likes of Clichy, Demichelis, Nastasic, Lescott, Richards, etc ?

You must have a much higher opinion of the ball skills of our usual back 4 than I have. I don't rate any of them as anything other than competent. I recon several of the EDS could play midfield no problem.

I think it probably wasn't the best decision to play Zabaleta in that game, but I don't think it was mistake of the year like half this thread thinks. It wasn't too unreasonable to take a risk with him.

I wouldn't want Boyata to play, so I'd probably go with Milner.

Richards would be Englands first choice right back if he could stay fit. I don't know at what point we are best to give up on him.

Not so significant and 1-2 weeks says Pellegrini. Just hope he isn't rushed back but at this rate, but I wouldn't bet against him rolling out against Liverpool at this rate.

That'd be a welcome sight so fingers crossed that you're right.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.
