Massive massive win. A little more secure in the 2nd half but not by much and for some reason we didn't create many chances either as we just got key balls wrong at the death.Great effort across the board there even if I was shouting at a few along the way.

Probably a bit lucky but there again watching Liverpool TV with Michael Owen as commentator it was bound to feel like that.

And Liverpool were by far the best team we played in the league so far. I shat my pants every time they went forward.

Where's Owen's accent from? He's making me hate it. Tell you what, he's an idiot.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

We didnt play out best but a win is a win.

No doubt they will slag us off now or being lucky where as the rags would have been tremendous in grinding out a result.

Lescott pulls a shirt once and there is a massive hoooo haaaar about it unyet Skertl can do it every time to Vinny

Got a few rubs of the green today. Liverpool were equal to us every step of the way. They were immense coming forward. Job well done. Had hoped that we would get a third after the bad offside decision.

So wasteful at times after Liverpool gifted us possession in their own half, and a couple of jaded performances scattered across the pitch, but that's a huge win. Impressive that this team, under Pellegrini, was able to grind it out a result. It's a great sign.

Negredo was MOTM for me. He was, well, beastly. Lescott did not do his City future any favors, unfortunately.

Liverpool are miles ahead of the Rags at the moment and should be a cert for a Champions League spot. Much as I loathe them - the fans, the owner, the players, the manager - their progression this year has been remarkable. Credit where it's due.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

I don't want to be too crittical but imo, Nasri broke atleast 2 or 3 of our counter attacks. He was very poor today imo. Lescott kept passing back to Hart which was frustrating.

Motm. Hart. Some Brilliant saves.

I must say, that Liverpoo were excellent. I can see them actually beating Chelsea.

His form has decreased in the last 3-4 games. By that time, Dave came back in the first team. Coincidence?

And imho, Nasri was better than Dave today.

linesman was MOTM in my opinion. didnt really think any City player differentiated themselves and stood out.

Delighted. We're not gonna win every game at the Etihad by 4 or 5 and sooner or later we were gonna have to grind one out. Honestly, i expected us to drop points today so i'm fucking ecstatic. We ground it out and defended pretty well against a team that's VERY good going forward. We rode our luck, but i guess you could say so did Liverpool as we missed chances too.

Well that was stressful. Couldn't watch the last 5 minutes, but a hard fought and massive 3 points against a very good side. Were lucky with the Sterling offside decision but how many times have we been at the other end of such decisions. It all evens out, someone said.
