I thought we played ok, but im getting sick of us passing to each other near the halfway line, all pool players behind the ball and we just pass and go nowhere fast. pool counter attacked us with pace, that's what we should of done, but still 3 points against a top 4 team

A lot o people slaging Lescott off. I made some crucial interceptions. Yes his distribution out was/isnt the best, but I was livid with Yaya today.......proper f@@king lazy arse on, he was neither helping out the defence or the attack for about 75% of the game, he seemed happy in no mans land. Niether he or Ferdi made options for JL to move the ball out

Chuffed to bits to get 3 points from that game :-)

I guess you don't know much about football.

There are times when you just want to shut the game down. These idiots at Scouse #2 will think they can destroy us at home.

Lescott did well without the ball but looked like he shat himself evertime he was in possession. Yaya was forced to come back many times to help lescott and did so

We'll see what the motd cunts have to say. When we beat Fulham 4-2 all the negative cunts could say is that they wanted a to see us be able to grind out a result 1-0 or 2-1 for once. Well there ya go.

But for some reason I doubt the headline will be how we ground out a result like a championship team, but rather how the dippers were victims to bad calla. Always victims

Since The Scum game is no longer our 'Derby', I wonder if Liverpool have taken their place or, instead, do we now look further afield i.e. Chelsea ??

Give Ewe a season or two and it will be Wigan.

I don't know where you get that from about Lescott.

He was rock solid.

F**k the bad call as the ref whistled long before Sterling put the ball beyond an uninterested Hart. Sterling should have got a yellow for carrying on after the whistle.

It was Liverpool's Cup Final and what I saw on the TV it was a comfortable 2-1. Kompany immense, Zabaletta and Kolarov in control and Nasri and Silva a little below their best but Silva had to play as a second striker and did not suit him against the powerful Central defenders Liverpool had.

Kompany should have got a penalty form at least one of Skrtels challenges at corners but Mason was not giving much.

Need to keep this momentum going and win at Swansea.

Agree, tv editors can make an offside goal look on side. Although i must say , he looked onside

I noticed Rodwell was not even on the bench today. I'm thinking of palace on Saturday. Is he injured?

Lucky break MD missing today. Both centre backs diving in trying to nick the ball off Suarez & missing would surely have cost us at least two points.

As it was, it was the quietest game Suarez has had all season. Great effort to stop him getting a single decent scoring chance in 90 mins.

Attackers should have taken the scousers to the cleaners after an hour, but failed to take advantage & we almost paid for it.

They will not play better than that v anyone. Still lost.

Negredo was MOTM for me. He was, well, beastly. Lescott did not do his City future any favors, unfortunately.

Liverpool are miles ahead of the Rags at the moment and should be a cert for a Champions League spot. Much as I loathe them - the fans, the owner, the players, the manager - their progression this year has been remarkable. Credit where it's due.

Yep, despise the fuckers, but they were excellent today.

I can't accept that analysis. We had the game under control. So much so that Negredo has the balls to try and chip the goalie instead of shooting as all would do 99 times out of 100 on the ground.

Great result and 3 points for us today . Awesome atmosphere inside the Etihad . What a cheating cunt Suarez really is , I along with thousands upon thousands of city fans saw today what a vile cheating cunt is , he is simply a fucking disgrace of a footballer. Vinny , Joe Hart , David Silva and Zabs immense .
Not really here
