How can you even consider writing that Drogba was better at 34 than 24? Did you see all the games he played in his early twenties compared to the motd highlights from the last few years ?

Edit: Didn't someone have Drogba's "Headless Chicken " referee rant as his picture on here ? When Didier was supposedly in his prime at Chelsea.

True ?? Or just gainsaying?? . Of the times i've been able to see him, i would say he was over the hill in his thirties compared to his late twenties, when Chelsea had a good team.

29 goals in 32 matches at the age of 30-31 would disagree with you.

Deary me !

My point is not about the fact that Drogba scored goals in his years at a top club and in his thirties too. It was just the wild generalisation that he was a better player at 34 than 24. When it was not possible for BLF to see all the games he played in France at Marseille and at Guingamp. Probably , like me and most on here, never heard of the guy until he came to Marseille.
just to make some opinion look valid. When in fact at 33 ( he's now 35).
He is now drifting having left Chelsea after a mixed and indifferent season for himself and Chelsea. Went for cash in China and ended up now in Istanbul. I have no idea how he played in China as a 34 year old, none at all. didn't see a single minute of any game he played in.

He certainly was a part of that great defensive lineup that bored everybody in the CL final two years ago.

Btw I am certainly not questioning the fact that Drogba was great at Chelsea.

So to sum up, you have no idea whether bridges is right or not (as not haven't watched the games necessary to make a conclusion) but have chosen to argue your point anyway. Fantastic.

Nailed ! Ask blf if he is in the same boat ! Ask him if he saw him regularly as a 24 and 34 year old .Which is basically what i was driving at.

Having watched Suarez v us and the chavs I'd rather have Aguero, purely because of his honesty. He'd rather stay on his feet and try to score or create something. Suarez spends too much time falling over and sitting on his arse.

and Sergio steps up in the big games. suarez seem to go missing for the most part, then resort to diving and moaning when he gets frustrated

I doubt he'll be there if they do. The new contract was purely done to insert a proper release clause and as soon as a big boy comes calling he'll be at John Lennon airport faster than he dives in the box
