Is that a match se want him siting? I dunno with all our injuries and being an away fixture.

As that was his second awkward challenge in a short time, I'm guessing Silva did not want to play on new years day.

Mixed feelings about Donkey, scores a goal and saves the day. But he's touch and passing is below the worst i've seen.

He's in double figures again and there's no reason why he wont score more than last season, but I think Pellegrini will sell him in the summer. He's not suited to our system unfortunately.

Doesn't that also make it 60 straight home PL games that we've scored in?

What's the PL record, 64 or something like that?

dzeko and garcia.........

i'd rather have jim whitley in midfield.

hes so poor he let vince do the midfield role on a number of times in the second half.

Job done. Nastasic had a poor second half. When will he learn not to let a ball bounce FFS. Garcia has no pace at all I'm afraid and was left for dead for the Palace chance after we scored. Still Yaya will be better for the rest and Fernandinho only played 60 minutes. I don't know what to make of Dzeko He does score some good goals but for a top professional his ball control is shocking. Navas could put in a few more crosses but he works hard which is important. We passed the ball around for fun after their missed headed chance and nearly scored a second. If we beat Swansea it will have paid off but it wasn't the most convincing display. How much will we miss Silva. Maybe not so much if Nasri shows his quality.

I find it hard to argue, but I'll try, he's the best third choice striker in the league and scores some incredibly important goals. Hard to lay off him when comparing to Sergio and beast but we should be a bit more... Erm...what's the word????

I hate Pulis: who is an utter c*nt the sooner his team and brand of football ate flushed into the championship the better. Paying good money to watch a match ruined by park the bus tactics. On the other hand we have learnt at last how to win against this tactic. Barcodes to win tomorrow and I'm in heaven.

13th Nov 2010 - (we had backtoback matches at home without finding the net) So that makes 59 home league matches in a row where we've scored.

Ah right, was just going off the stats I posted earlier:

Manchester City

•City are the only team in the Premier League this season yet to drop a point at home. They have also scored in each of their last 59 Premier League home games.

I'm sure Pullis will be sorry to hear that.

Get over yourself, if you stop for a couple of seconds and think it through what the fuck was he supposed to do?

As a manager with the resources available to him, he set his team up to give them the best chance of getting a result and very nearly pulled it off.

Once they went behind it was al but over, but they had carried a threat on the break, which is why Hart was MOM.

It may well be goal difference that keeps his team up at the end of the season and not getting the sort of pasting that other teams a lot better than Palace have at the Etihad this season was a good result for him.

Sounds like you've thrown all your toys out of the pram because we didn't get 7 or 8.

Happy new year!

Looks good, don't it ;-)

1 Man City 19 33 41
2 Arsenal 18 18 39
3 Chelsea 18 15 37
4 Liverpool 18 22 36
5 Everton 18 12 34

However, all the rest have to play tomorrow so one of them will close in or overtake us. Only Arsenal can go top with a tough away game at the Toon.

I wasn't taking the Fulham game into account so that is correct (10 home games now this season rather than 9) meaning we have scored in our last 60 home league games.

I'm sure it's the Rags who hold the record but not sure what it is. Keep going regardless though and we'll find out when they start crying about it, telling us the ref robbed them in the last game or something.

Spot on. Palace were very well organised today and made life very difficult for us. They created some good chances and came away with the lowest margin defeat at the Etihad this season.

If Palace had played an open game, we would have picked them open with ease. What else was Pulis supposed to do? It's not his fault we struggled to break them down.

Palace were very well organised and disciplined. There is no point in complaining about their method, we will see more of it. There is little else they could have done. Delighted to get 3 points, it was never going to be easy.
