More odious than Bruce. That tells you everything you need to know.

It also tells you a lot of how thick some football chairmen are on employing him. A fool and his money etc

The worst cancer on the game that the premier league has ever seen.

Anti-football, anti-entertainment.

On top of that he just disrespected every top manager in world football. He thinks it's easy to manage a top side that must challenge for everything?

He'll never manage a top side because he's not very good at his job. It's also probably got something to do with thinking you can sit back and smoke a cigar when the pressure begins to mount.

Pulis' teams play the type of football that puts bums on seats. Unfortunately, it's in cricket and rugby grounds rather than football stadia, but you can't have everything.

His comments were an absolute insult and he has as much class as the teams he builds.

He can ask Jose at Chelsea, or indeef any of the (7/8 is it now?) guys Roman has dispensed with. A buffoon who luckily wont darken the Prem again after taling Palace down.

Didnt Big Sam say he would win treble every year if he was at Real or Barca? Wonder if these drongos say such ridiculous things to try and deflect blame from their own shit performances

Thought the palace fans were great yesterday. Credit to them for turning out and backing their team for 90 mins. Such a shame they have that dickhead in charge. What a fucking awful footballing display for 80 of the 90 mins.

Of course I agree that managers like Alladyce and Pullis will never get to manage top teams, but I'm not sure what we are all getting so steamed up about where Pullis is concenred.

What he said was probably bourn out of frustration at having so nearly pulling off what would have been a tactical masterstroke and the shock of the season so far. Was it disrespectful? Well I doubt Pellegrini found it so, probably saw it more as a backhanded compliment if indeed he read anything into it at all.

I'm no Pullis fan and am glad he has never managed City, that said he has a style that is effective at a certain level in the premier league and his record is largely proven. He is undoubtedly the right man for Palace and may just keep them up. Credit where it's due, his team of no hopers ran us close yesterday because of the way he set his team up and the way his team wanted to play for him - it was the only way they had any sort of chance.

It's easy to call someone a c*nt and I'm not saying I'd be adverse to using such a word in certain circumstances but I don't think this necessarily warrants it. Perhaps James Beattie might have more reason to consider him in these terms after Pullis allegedly ran naked from the showers in a rage and headbutted him (probably still had his hat on though)

I wonder if he was sat on the sidelines with a cigar in his mouth last season when Swindon stuck four goals past his team at the Britannia. You know, on account of the financial disparity and all.

The roots of his hatred for us have been well documented in this thread, but his obsession with finances reveals a deeper wound. It kills him to see the likes of Martinez, Rodgers, Pardew, Lambert, Pochettino, etc. rocket past him in the managerial pecking order, knowing - KNOWING - he'll never even be considered for a top job.

Even putting aside his tactics, the man just screams "small time." His track suit, his baseball cap, his post-match interviews. Everything about him, really.

Hopefully we hammer them in the return fixture now.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

Ten years ago(maybe 8-9), I was wondering how £40,000/week for Anelka(Which was outside our own wage structure) would keep him at City when Chelsea threw £150,000/week at Shevchenko and Ballack in the same window.

And yet we sold him to Fenerbahce. It's a funny old world.

He took the scenic route, but eventually made it there.

Judging by the entertainment v results thread, a number of people should rate Pulis highly. You can't fault his achievements, he got Stoke promoted, kept them up and got them to a cup final on a shoestring budget and looks to be doing the same with Palace.
I'd still rather not watch matches then see my team play like his do though, as others have said he's one of the leading members of the anti-football brigade.
Takes all the fun and joy out of football, people like him.
