I have never once suggested that they should be given an exemption from these laws. I was just pointing out that it will have a detremental effect on their national league as the players will all go to other countries with more relaxed tax laws.

They are all well overpaid and quite frankly it sickens me how much these players earn in a week. Plus, as its the French it doesn't bother me that much, it's when our government try this sort of stuff that I will be worried about our football

I doubt it will happen here, London is still seen as the European centre for banking and if they should bring in a ridiculously high tax rate like this then all the top bankers (i said bankers!) will fuck off along with many others and the economy will collapse just like the French economy will cripple.

Cant bring in specific taxes for specific earners, ie just footballers, as that opens up doors for other trades and industries to want their own tax levels.

Apart from PSG which I mentioned, the French clubs have not done nearly as well as Spanish, German, English, Italian or arguably even Portuguese (Porto in the main) over the last decade. Their co-efficient for a side that does very well on the international stage is poor at club level hence my reasoning
