Man Of The Match v Swansea

Postby Beefymcfc » Wed Jan 01, 2014 2:39 pm

Difficult game under difficult conditions. Not the best of games for us but I thought Navas, Fernando and Nasri had decent games. However, I'm going for Kolarov as he did everything asked of him, especially in the 2nd half.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Kolarov for me. Navas played well and so did Nasti in the 2nd half.

Navas for me. He wasn't as strong in the second half, but he ran the show in the first.
He put in a great defensive effort all through the game as well.

Nasti was solid second half, ferno everywhere again, yaya better in the second half when Garcia came on, kolarov always a threat and a bit more solid defensively in the second half, I'm going for Jesus though he works so hard up and down that right side!

I've gone for Kolarov, although Fernandinho was excellent again. I'm tired of voting him MoM though..

hhaha one of the weakest players in the team and one of his least effective performances but at least he woke up just in time to put us ahead in the 2nd half

Kolarov for me. Let's hope he can keep his performances at that level from now on.

Fuck me, who'd have thought it, Kolarov leading the way.

On another note, is Pellers in for Manager of the Month?

Fernandinho was top notch throughout, can't imagine the squad without him.

IMHO Kolarov was motd by a country mile but Joe Hart was back to having his moments of flapping at the ball again which is a worry as he could have cost us another 3 points but for good luck.
What was beyond any doubt was that the linemen were hopeless and fat boy Dowd was a total cunt as ever.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

I actually though after a month of excellent displays, Fernandhino was back to his diving in ways of old today. One led directly to a goal and many others put them away. Everyone has an off game, so no panic, but he certainly wasn't near MOM for me.

Navas gets my vote slightly ahead of Kolarov, but I also thought YAYA was awesome 2nd half. Pap 1st mind.
Tracking back is overrated.

Went for Kolo too - had dips (not unlike the rest of the team) but showed some good quality - the goal with his right foot was a cracker too!
