Since clattering together after the player has released the ball from his control is not a penalty according to Clattenberg in the 6-1 with his hand washing gesture that had everyone confused.

It is usually the case that penalties aren't given for 'accidental fouls' after the ball has gone from the player's control.
Not at Old Trafford though.
