Well it’s nice to be back and doing the first one of these with a combination of jet lag and a hangover. I have to admit to having more than a little sympathy for Blackburn fans. When you look at the owners of both teams tomorrow, it makes you realise how truly blessed we are. Bottom line is they can’t see anything but heavy defeat (with only a couple of exceptions). I have an odd feeling about this game, but that is only because I still can’t shake that old ‘typical City’ feeling. Finally just a quick thanks to AG7 for doing such a sterling job while I have been away...Cheers, and enjoy

Team Selection

Eastwood
Orr Songo'o Kilgallon Henley
Nunes Etuhu Lowe Mahoney
Best Campbell

My Favourite

I sincerely hope they don't show up. If we never see them again it will be too soon.

And the rest...

Unfortunately I cannot see any sign of cup glory this season, and an early exit beckons.

Much as it pains me to say it, I will go for a 4-1 City win

I think we'll lose heavily but it won't be a complete cakewalk for City. We'll make a fist of it for a while before a couple of late goals finally kill us off

Citeh will have too much for us even if they do field a weakened side...we'll just have to give it our best shot

Sorry to say but some of their fans have become the biggest big time Charlies ever

Expect nothing but a comprehensive City win obviously anything close to a competitive game would be a relative success

1-0 to Rovers with Hanley scoring

Loathe City with a passion. Sadly, I think we'll be tonked.

I do hope City fans are kept away from home areas this time.

City have the best squad in the country so, of course, they'll win but hopefully a decent performance and bumper crowd from us. We have to make changes to the team as many have played in all of the festive fixtures. I'd rest key players like Rhodes and Cairney, we can't risk them getting injured in a cup game.

hmmm strangely expecting a win...

It would be just like rovers to hold them to a draw and then face a smashing at the etihad

There's always upsets in the Cup. Every chance it could be us

Best chance for us is if City play a few disgruntled millionaires who haven't played much and don't fancy it much. When you have 50 internationals or so whoever they put out should wallop us if their attitude is right........ Hope GB sees this as a chance to build momentum and plays as strong a side as we have and tells them to go out there and get stuck in.

Nobody gave us a chance of beating Arsenal last season but we did, and that was away.
Saying that, I fully expect us to get tubbed!

Put Best, Campbell, Etuhu, Orr and other players Gary Bowyer doesn't fancy out against Man City. If they lose, what have we really lost and the first team is rested, morale intact. If they win, or play well at least, it may generate some interest in our dead weight. Fill in the gaps with some youth to give them a taste of the big time.

To quote David Haye’s very unfortunate but applicable quote, this will be as on sided as a gang rape. The only hope is the home team will bring more fans than the away team. But not sure even that will happen.

I dread to think what the likes of toure will do to our midfield and if Kompany plays anyone we play up front wont even touch the ball

Its not so long pre venkys we’d give anybody a game at home but these days as its live on tv anything but a total humiliation will do fine. Fingers crossed

Lol at these two. Nothing less than a win. Do not want a replay and suspect neither do Rovers

Cheers pal, hope you had a good break!

It certainly seems the cup is something that they could well do without at the moment, and from the sounds of things the guy worried about being outnumbered by us Blues seems close to the truth too.
