[quote="Bridge'srightfoot"][quote="john@staustell"]Where the FA cup is concerned, you must always remember, as folk my age will remember:

Colchester knocked out the mighty Leeds.

To younger folk this probably wont mean much amongst all the shocks of all the years. But the shock was immense.

Young lads like yourself might not remember York and Port Vale getting into the 6th round, about 1955 i think.

Our end's sold out but the blackburn crowd will be bolstered by the fact that a lot of City fans live in the surrounding area and blackburn fans have always had a tendency to help their mates out by buying tickets and selling them on to our fans. We can fully expect to see sections of the 'blackburn' support celebrating like demons (because they're City fans) whenever we score - as has historically happened in previous similar fixtures - especially in the darwin stand.

The vast majority of the rovers fans are good souls who just want to enjoy a cup game and have the banter, and the darwin stand is half corporate and almost entirely devoid of idiots, so if you have tickets in that area then no need to be shy about who you support once you're inside and have your seat.
It'll be a great day out both in the pubs around the ground and inside. I have us down for a win by 3 clear goals - 4 to us and 1 consolation to rovers for their sporting endeavour.

The darwen end stand is for away fans and we have the whole stand to ourselves.

Sorry Breks, well spotted fella, I stand corrected and rightly so - I meant to say the Jack Walker stand - and I should know because that's where I'll be sitting virtue of an old mate from blackburn who helpfully accommodated.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Doubt Pellers will break with his policy of fielding a strong team. The FA cup is well worth it, despite what Lambert reckons. A day out at Wembley is never to be sniffed at.

Pantilimon
Boyata Lescott Demi(if fit, Kompany if not) Kola
Milner Garcia Fernandinho(if Rodwell unfit)
Silva Dzeko Navas

Big bench Yaya Kompany Nasri Beast Richards Nastasic Clichy

Should win. 3-0 will do me as conditions not likely to be the best though a 1-0 will do. As long as our name is in the hat

Have to say the BT sport thing is doing my head in. Already pay a load for Sky now every other City game seems to be on BT. Any ideas to get coverage of the game apart from WiziShite? Cheers

Ring up Sky, tell them you are thinking of leaving because you want BTSports and your going to BT. They will give you £15 off a month (i.e. the cost of BT Sports HD).

Thats what I did at the start of the season.

Crying out loud! his hamstrings are made from butter.
With him always injured and Jovetic always high, neither of them will hardly kick a ball......

The FA Cup was always with ESPN ... BT did us a favour buying them out and moving the FA Cup to BT Sport else last year I had to have Sky (for PL) plus ESPN (for FA Cup) ... had BT Sports not taken them over, I'd have to be subscribing THREE different providers to get all City games ...

Plus I was paying £10 for ESPN and BT initially asked for £12 but then have away free as I already get their phone plus broadband ... so actually worked out great for me ...

In the longer run BT is where you would want to be and not Sky as they have already taken over whole of Champions League from Sky and ITV both from 2015 on ...

And I expect them to get more then 1/5 of PL they currently have in next round of bidding as well ...

And so I would always argue against 'trying out the kids', 'giving people a run out' etc.

The manager has to keep up a strong team, rest anyone who shows sign of strain, but otherwise play for the kill.

Absolutely - really hope we never get like the scum and treat this competition with anything less than full respect.

A day out at Wembley remains a top attraction for the fans

This seems more plausible amd might see this tomorrow, would prefer Vinnie to get some rest and Nasti more game time. But Pellegrini doesn't seem to prefer playing Nasti with Lescott

Pellers just needs to utter two words as they leave the dressing room to ensure they are not half arsed. "WIGAN ATHLETIC".

last time I attended an FA Cup tie me and a few thousand others were enthusiastically encouraging our leadership to insert Mr P in their bottoms.
Just getting my thermals on and looking forward to a grand day out and a comfortable win.
