Someone blaming someone for a missed assignment on that goal is my guess.

Garcia today pffffffffffffffffffff

I'm kinda hoping the second half is basically same again. No dangerous tackles flying in, not much energy being expended by anybody, and the opposition don't look like scoring. Would be nice to get through the round whilst keeping everybody fresh for our next games coming up.

They're gonna fall apart in the 2nd half. To put in a lot of good effort just to have it all go to shit right before halftime is a killer. Minds already going and legs will go soon too

Not the best half from us but ruthlessly efficient

Very disappointing. Despite combining for the goal, I don't think the two big strikers playing together has worked, yet again

FLAT. We are trying to win but it seems with a minimum of effort. To be fair though we are missing massive players;
No real width as the 2 full backs we have are poor at overlapping and playing neat football. And of course no Navas
Quality down the middle with Yaya and Nasri rested.

I am quite happy with Garcia today.Accepting he can't help with any attacking ideas he has done his sitting job quite well, always available and moves the ball to a City player comfortably.

Both strikers are average coming short and playing but there have been a few good signs and it's always good to see all the practice on the training ground on free kicks/corners pays off yet again.

Pants looking good but there remains the chance that they will get one of those crosses right from Boyata's side and find the big goon at the far post.

We have two big strikers and our best three crossers aren't on the pitch. We badly miss Zaba Kola and Jesus. I'd put Jesus on at half time. Silva seems to be playing on the right and should switch to a central position.

Not a perfect half but on the whole we've got to be pleased. Blackburn look a decent side who are very well organised at the back and look good on the break. They've prodded and probed but haven't really worked Panti.

As for us, it's easy to see that there wasn't much flow to the game early on but it got better as the game went along.

No problems for me with the team picked and understand that it's not going to be the best as the partnerships aren't there.

Well with Rovers showing no signs of having an end product, I think playing Dzeko and the beast more of a chance to gel. The goal showed signs of this IMO

Hopefully we will kick up a gear for the second half, that has to be the longest 45 minutes I've seen play in ages.

Since the delivery or build up has been tosh so far i don't know how you can say that and the one time they team up it in the area, results in a goal.

Edin picked Negs off perfectly earlier for his cheeky chip that nearly paid off for him .

Late in the half, Boyata was actually coming inside & passing the ball around like Garcia wasn't, then Garcia had a go &, once again, passed it straight to a Blackburn player.

He really isn't as bad as he is showing for City, but the fact is he has just passed a football directly to the team we are playing against 3 times, with most of our players ahead of the ball. Lescott hasn't, Boyata hasn't, Pantillimon hasn't, but Garcia has.

Special mention for Nasti too, who has just got through 45 mins without actually defending anything whatsoever.
