Nope, do one.
Absolutely no idea what he brings to the table.I actually think he would struggle in a Division 1 side.As another poster has said earlier in the thread, why do we persist in playing a man who clearly has no future at City at the expense off one of our youngsters,it makes no sense.

And whilst i am having a moan, why do we risk the player off the season Fernandinho, the work horse, the man who consistently puts a shift in,our glue in midfield in a match where we rotate half the fucking side for our B string .

Ii would have been incandescent with rage if he had got injured today.I mean wtf ?,who else have we got to fill his role ? either completely rotate the first 11 starters for EDS team today.Don't put our best player in a side with the B string and expect him to run himself in to an injury. That was taking the piss pairing with Garcia, one thing Garcia is never going to do is pull his ham string, for me he is more important than YaYa but gets less rest, fuck sake Pellers your killing him.

Guidetti - if he was EVER going to be given a game - or at leats 30 mins - then today was the day. Why not ?? EDS - there MUST , SURELY be a couple of kids we could have tried today - at least Lopes/Pozo/?? One of these in attack wth EITHER Beast or Dzeko should have been tried.

Errr, because Guidetti is a sicknote too ...

Oh FFS - you're s*ing me !
Is there some kind of disease going round ? It's like post-op in M*A*S*H
Maybe we should hire all the ex-swamp physios Gollum sacked - they kept Van Persie on the pitch for a whole season .. . .

Personally, I'm Glad Lopes didn't play after seeing how well Blackburn defended.

I think you might be right there Ted.I reckon he would have had difficulty making an impression today with their approach and general lack of space and also with other players a little out of sorts. At the Etihad will be a different game.

Having watched Boyata now in a couple of first team games plus EDS games I do agree that he shouldnt be getting much game time anymore.Sadly he isn't the answer to anything at City and we would have been better to give a go to a young prospect.

Not that I think any are quite ready yet but I don't think any of Denayer,Facey , Bossaerts or even Drury would have done a worse job than Boyata today. And at least they would have got some great experience.Facey would probably have been first choice from that group especially bearing in mind Vieira's very positive comments about him recently.

When you're up against a side who are well organized and fight for every ball you have to have width. I can see why Kolarov Zaba and Navas weren't started but it left his decision to play both Dzeko and Negredo questionable. This game cried out for Jovetic to play off one or the other. What the fuck is wrong with him?

Same bollox every time garcia starts. offers us nothing, the game just passes him by. Obvious to everyone except pellers that when Edins paired with Álvaro the beasts input is greatly reduced. Pants badly at fault for the goal and it's been coming (he got away with a few when he's played). Nasty is vastly overrated. constant fouling, rarely wins a header and his legendary passing has disappeared. Boyata ,well i think everyone can see he's not near the level we need. There needs to be a clearout,a cull even. these players that aren't good enough need to be moved on asap thus removing the temptation to play them. as for the permanent sick notes it's not as if we didn't know Rodwell was a crock and Somethings not quite right about this whole jovetic saga. Guidetti sadly isn't going to make it for us of that i am pretty confident. On the bright side of things we have as good a first 11 as anyone in Europe , unfortunately between one thing or another we rarely get to see them!

The obvious conclusion is that we are not strong enough - do not have a deep enough squad - to compete in 4 competitions. Thus , we must decide which of the two cups we want most - and as we're in the semis of the League Cup , we should prioritise that. If we don't strengthen in January , we may be forced to make a choice between the League and Europe.

Got what we deserved and nothing else.

Best Squad in the Prem my arse , that's what the media want everybody to believe because of what we have spent.

We have one right back , two creative midfielders, three forwards and one outstanding centre half.

Concentrate on the League and Carling Cup.

We have the best squad in the league, maybe chelsea come close. Too many people on here live in some dream land and think we should have 25 world class players in our squad. Lescott, Nastasic and Dzeko need minutes on the pitch. We will need them over the next couple of months if we hope to progress.

Hard to get in suitable players in January as has been the case before. We need to get rid of some to make room as well. As for what competitions to prioritise I would agree with the league cup and the league. The other protagonists have closed the gap on us this season and with another summer window could well match us next season. The rags demise satisfying as it is hasn't left the title any easier to win. I think to be champions again would be the preferred choice of most fans.

At least that stupid friendly in Abu Dhabi has been cancelled

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... ys-6468715

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed a planned trip to Abu Dhabi will not take place after his side were taken to an FA Cup replay by Blackburn.

The Abu Dhabi-owned club had been expected to play a friendly against Al Ain FC on January 14 and combine the trip with a week's warm-weather training.

The fixture had been publicised in the United Arab Emirates but City had not confirmed the plans - and there is now no gap in schedule for it to take place.

City will instead host Rovers in a third-round replay that week after they were left hanging on for a 1-1 draw with 10 men at Ewood Park.

Alvaro Negredo had put them on course for a place in the fourth round but Scott Dann responded after a Costel Pantilimon mistake and City had Dedryck Boyata sent off late on.

City are still involved in four competitions this season but Pellegrini said he did not know if his team would be better suited playing a replay or training in the UAE.

He said: "You never know what is better.

"We were going to be travelling to Abu Dhabi and having a friendly match there, now we are going to play against Blackburn Rovers at home.

"What is better? It is impossible to know.

"It (the replay) is not an extra problem. We have to play another match and have the squad to do it but we will continue making the rotation, that is better for the squad."

Rovers threw caution to the wind in search of victory in the closing stages and threatened a winner through Tom Cairney and Jordan Rhodes.

Pellegrini denied his team were fortunate to still be in the competition.

He said: "We were not lucky. It was a very close match and I think we had more clear options than Blackburn but we played against a very strong team who were at home.

"They had a lot of motivation and that is normal when you have a Championship team playing against a Premier League team.

"I'm not disappointed. Of course, everyone wants to win all of the games but we were playing against a very strong team at home.

"I am sure if they played like that in the Championship they would be in another position in the table.

"I would be disappointed if we lost and were out of the FA Cup but we are not out and we must play at home."
