Is it important to win a trophy?

The short answer is yes.
I am 40. In my life we have won 3. I dread to think how many the dippers or rags have won in that timeframe. Ffs they have both won 3 in one season! Arsenal & Chelsea too. Therefore I want to see more. Also as a club we need to win trophies to progress on and off the field. The new fans in the far east or India or USA will latch onto the winners. We want that to be us to reap the financial benefits. The more trophies we win the better class of player we can attract without resorting to paying over the odds wages as players tend to want to win things. Also if we assume the League cup will be City v rags it would be unthinkable for us too lose.

Will Pellers be sacked if he doesn't win a trophy?

Hope not. Would be a cataclysmic fuck up to sack Pellers imo. Think he will be given at least 2 seasons. If after 2 seasons he hasn't won a pot he may be in trouble but it would then depend a lot on Champs league showing and who is available. The football we have played this season has been special which will only get better and better so i think he's safe for a while. That said he has a remit of 5 pots in 5 years and the board have sanctioned a large outlay last summer and they are likely to want to see some glory.

Will we win a trophy?

Yes. Maybe even two. In fact I would almost be disappointed not too win 2 as we are within sight of the final of League cup and we are so much better than either rags or Sunderland and I think we win will Prem. Again if we fail to win Prem something will have gone badly wrong as we are the best side
