OK, give the team a kick up the arse but to actually bring his physical appearance into it, to his face, is fucking moronic. Here's a bloke who is trying to do his best for the team whilst also in an unstable position at the club when some imbecile tries to motivate him by attacking his appearance, something he is probably very mindful of.

As for tourists, I was talking to a few a couple of years back (Japanese) and they said they were over to see the Rags in a CL game and due to our newfound fame they decided to catch our game as well. I wonder if their allegiances will change soon?

Not sure about tourists but I can remember back to the runners-up season (Tueart etc)when all the abuse was coming from hardened regulars if we weren't 3-0 after 10 minutes.

Did not log in yesterday so have not seen any major criticism - although I assume there must have been some - hence this thread.

In another thread I stated that for me Pellers and the team can do no wrong - even if they go out of a competition and even if we win nowt - so long as we make a proper effort in every game.

Well sorry if this opinion does not sit well with the detractors but I thought yesterday clearly demonstrated how seriously Pellers takes the competition and how good he can be at rotating the squad

His initial line up was pretty strong and gave some players a much needed rest - but the bench showed how he was prepared to respond if things were not going well. Of course he acted decisively and early to bring on Yaya and Navas when we needed to push for the win.

FFS if the fans think we do not need the distraction of an extra game - how the fuck do you think the manager and squad feel about it - Pellers was clearly going for the win.

If it had not been for a stupid individual error that gave a lot of encouragement to Blackburn we would be commending a professional job well done.

Fans should perhaps be careful not to slide towards the attitude of the scum fans - typing away on fans forums as if the world evolves around them and CITY owe them big time.

I saw a job nearly very well done - I feel sorry for Pellers and the team that he now has to deal with another fixture - I feel only empathy and respect for the manager.

I would be surprised if many/any of the fans that have been slating him (admittedly I do not know how vitriolic this was) would be over 40 or be match going fans for over 10 years - this ride is (I would like to think) just too marvelous for any fan of that profile to start becoming like the shallow scum fans that seem to feel a massive sense of personal entitlement.

I understand 'in the moment frustration' and passion - but (IMO) that should be balanced with some perspective and thoughtfulness.

Our overall performance over the last 2 months has been outstanding - the next couple will be equally challenging. Fuck me lets enjoy!!

Having followed us through some right shit (which funnily enough made you love em more be it bonkers or gallows humour), just seeing us up there playing some beautiful football and scoring shit loads of goals is fantastic!!!!!!

I don't know about tourists but around the City centre I'm definitely seeing more gods own badges and shirts than I used to and less rags.

Re yesterday, Blackburn gave us a game and deserve a second chance. Our tempo was too slow and some players weren't up to their usual standard. Shit happens. We're still in cup and have the squad to cope with an extra game against a championship team. At the moment we're winning when we need to. Gotta be happy with that.
