The view from the Away End

First of all apologies to Walmai, just in case you wanted to do this. Always enjoy your posts, so feel free to add to this one. Not sure what I expected from the away fans for this game (after the weekend), but they are not as suicidal as you might think. I wouldn’t go as far as confident though! I give full credit to the travelling fans in advance of Wednesday night; it can’t be easy to be positive.

Team Selection

Adrian
Demel Collins Johnson(sigh) Macca
Diarra
Cole Morrison Downing
Maiga Cole

My Favourite

God help us

And the rest...

Keep it down to 2 goal defeat, we are still in with a chance

Give me a chance to get over this present debacle...please

Could be a cricket score

Man City will try to have this game sewn up in the first leg. But Ravel will score a couple late on to make it more interesting in the 2nd leg...5-2

This one will be the shock result of the season so far

The best we can hope for is a 0-0. No chance of us scoring

Was well up for going this. Sadly the excitement has now gone and im dreading a thumping.

I expect at least a draw.... I mean that's the whole reason for throwing today's game wasn't it

Do you think he will attack City at Upton Park? No chance. He'll be as tentative in that and try and take them to penalties or something. He is scared shitless of going forward against Fulham, let alone Man City

We're gonna go to City and smash the f*ckers. This is all we need to know!!

Time for Allardyce to dabble with a new formation possibly a 10-0-0 Absolutely dreading this on Wednesday. Hope City rest a few players to at least give us some hope in the 2nd leg.

I really don't think this will be that bad. I could see us coming away with the tie still alive

If Blackburn can draw 1-1 with that. I think we can take our chances. I have the same feeling that despite paper saying we'll get a tonking we can surprise a few people like I did before both Spurs game....Football isn't played on paper, its played on grass.
Ok. Lets work out the permutations:

1/We get beat heavy 5-0 or 6-0 by a team of youth players in a 8-1-1 formation.REPONSE: He's a f*t northern cowardly c**t sending the kids out to get slaughtered. I love the League Cup & he's belittling the competition. F**k the League, I want to see West Ham win something.

2/We start with our best starting X1 & getting done 2-0 or 3-0 & Diame limps off after 24 minutes. RESPONSE Why does that fat b*stard playing our 1st team, I don't give a f**k about the cup, League is important. Now Diame is out for X amount of games. Northern sh*tface.

3/We start with our best side & lose a close thought game 1-0. RESPONSE See that f*t t*sser gets the players 'up' for this game & they can't even win a league match. The motivation is all wrong & I'm sick of this tw*t of a manager we have.

4/We draw 1-1. RESPONSE City didn't give a sh*t tonight. Why did we play our 1st team, when we have a massive game vs Cardiff in a week or so..the man is clueless, send him back home to Brum

5/We get an amazing win at city 0-1.RESPONSE Jesus I've never seen City play that bad. That's the worst I've ever seen them play. Must be tired. I hope Allardyce is not trying to get us to Wembley, cos how many times to I have to post, I don't want Wembley, I want us to stay up.

Using the Blackburn example... they gave up 70% possession, they got wide well but the final ball was poor, they were fighting with each other on the way off at half time, they scored after a goalkeeping fumble.

I've learnt my lesson: 12-0 to Citeh. If it's the same team as yesterday then I think it'll be time for that 36-0 record to be broken.

Even if we are going to do a defensive number on them we need to press which is something we have stopped doing this season for some inexplicable reason, this current team just drops back and let's whoever we play have the freedom of the park, free to launch attack after attack, Blackburn were excellent on Saturday IMO, yes they were defensive but they pressed all the time, as soon as a city player got the ball Blackburn had players on them in a flash, to have any chance, not just against city but for the rest of the season we need to start doing this, past Allardyce teams have always done this, indeed we did last season, at home in particular, why the change??

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.

Thanks very much, there's a couple of extremely funny posts in there. Looking forward to the game ..... This will be the fourth LC semi-Final I have attended and yet to see us win one, it must be my turn.

New signing Roger Johnson apart*, we've not got a fit centre back.

I think you can rest easy.

*I can't even think of something funny to say about signing a player off Wolves who can't get into their team...
