Yep Level 3 for both stands are open but I think the club via online sales at least are trying to encourage Level 1 tickets to be taken.

Why is the Family Stand both Level 1 and Level 2? Can it not just be Level 2? Because for any evening match there are always gaps in the level 1 section and I am guessing that is down to families thinking it is too late for kids to be at the match etc

Anyone can sit in the family stand.

Big party theme now on OS. Big push to sell seats. Reckon it may be better than we thought come end up.

I too have yet to forgive that decision.

Me three. It was Alf fuclin Grey the bent bastard.

Cheating fucking shitbag.

I was there, but can mainly remember it because of tv replays since. Can barely remember anything about the game.

Strange how some things are perfect in the memory & others disappear. It's not down to whether it's good or bad either. I remember the George Courtney Liverpool game clearly.

I can still remember the nightmare of Brian Gayle v Saunders/Goddard (plus Mark Wright at corners) at Derby County, or Steve Redmond at Ayresome Park, but struggle remembering many of Ali Benarbia's best moments without prompting.

Bizarre.

Was there at that game. First couple of mins too - cross comes in, Reeves heads it in. Crowd and players celebrate, I look up from H Block in the main stand and about 5 Liverpool players are bearing down on our goal. Confusion at first, then anger. We were without Tommy Hutch, Gerry Gow and Bobby Mac as they were all Cup tied so it was essentially Mal's team with the young kids playing. We also didn't get the rub at Klanfield in the 2nd leg either, with them getting away with a 1-1 draw.

There was not a chance in hell that the same goal would have been disallowed for Liverpool.

40,007 will watch a 4- 0 win and only 1,691 of them will be Walami and his mates.

I was there too and I remember wondering what on Earth was going on. I was only young but I knew the rules (our teacher/coach made sure he taught all of us the basics) and I knew something was seriously wrong. I didn't get home in time to watch it on Sportsnight, so I never saw it again until years later. I didn't need to. Even from the wall at the bottom of the Kippax the world and his fucking dog could see it was a fair header.

I would love to know why and what went through his head as he cost us a Cup Final.

I really, REALLY fucking hate cheats.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

What will the attendance be like for the away tie? I can't imagine too many Hammers will spend 42 quid when they are 6-0 down and the game's on tv.

And the 28k or so Blues who bothered to turn up on Wednesday should, in fairness, be the first ones in the queue for a ticket for the Final, when the annual scramble starts in February and we get the usual "I cant get a ticket, it isn't fair" moans from some fans.

I'm going to go for 40-42,000 and the usual stick from the RAGS for fans dressed as blue seats. Unless they lose today of course in which case they'll all keep their heads well down all week!

John your memory's spot on as usual - 44,426 v Middlesbrough in 76 semi-final but it was the 2nd leg so that may have helped. In the earlier rounds we had 30,022 v Mansfield (qtr final), 50,182 Utd (4th), 28,536 Forest (3rd) and 29,667 Norwich in 2nd round replay (followed by 6,238 at OT for 2nd replay).

The 1981 semi v LFC was watched by 48,045 (1st leg); 1974 v Plymouth = 40,117 (2nd leg); then there have been the 2 recent years V utd & LFC; but the biggest of all our League Cup semifinal crowds was 55,799 Utd in 1969-70 (1st leg).

Gary, I thought the 6k v Norwich was at Stamford Bridge ? My memory was John Bond mouthing off about Bell & Marsh underperforming, then thm shoving his words up e & by reports being absolutely incredible in the 2nd replay at Chelsea, poss Bell hat trick ? Then Bond eating humble pie & calling them 2 of best players in the world.

Sounds like good management, dare I say, Mancini style..?

He was managing Norwich at the time mate ;)

Hahaha. Fair enough, in that case he should have kept his trap shut! Dare I say it, much like myself.
