Thanks CuteMancs, really enjoy reading these, in particular I look forward to the one before the Derby, if we win that (not wanting to tempt fate) I would very much like to have an "after" view too?

Also you may wish to recruit one our Spanish speaking friends ( John@stAustell? ) to translate for the Barca game?

Yep just find me a site and give me a nudge. Spanish-speaking not Catalan of course, can't make much headway with that!

Or just give me a nudge and I'll look for a site. They do have English language ones but it's not the real thing is it?

Their is a guy on twitter goes by the account name of FC Barcelona I will see if he knows any fan sites of theirs.

I drove up to Newcastle that day with the Mrs just for the atmosphere pre-game as I didn't get a ticket, Newcastle was absolutely bouncing that afternoon, great day out

Yes, we needed the win and we got it with two goals late on from Yaya. Extremely nervous watch, that game.

Those Geordies seem a little on the pessimistic side. I expect it to be a close game.

I was even nervous after the game when Rags played Swansea. I was worried they would win by about 8 goals and level the goal difference!

Funnily enough, I was worried they'd conspire to get a sackful, too. Spent the whole week after in excited anticipation of the QPR game, little knowing what it had in store for us.

Was at a friends christening while the game was on. Was following on my phone and just as the speeches were being started Yaya scored the 1st and I couldnt contain a huge yell of delight. Even the vicar looked harshly in my direction

One of the replies on that Barcaforum when the draw was made.

IMO that's the hardest possible draw for Barca and of coruse, one of the easiest for R€al...

prob my favourite of that season. The QPR one was far to stressful. Did a lap of the pub when Yaya scored.

I was behind the goal right in line with Yaya when he scored the first - so much bend but from the moment it left his foot I knew it was a goal - Geordie mate of mine summed it up - "men against boys".

That is what we need to do every game from here on - just like Wednesday - no easing off - put everyone to the sword

I'm normally very cautious and don't get carried away with regards to city but even I thought we'd done it after the Newcastle game and had the title in the bag. I mean there's no way we could fail to beat a relegation threatened team who'd only won once away from home all season? Surely!? ;-)

I recall they scored the 2 goals very early on, and remember Tom Daly running to get the ball out of the net. I had it in my head that they were going to hammer Swansea about 6 or 7 nil

"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012
