The Mexican muppet really needs to let his hatred of Mancini go now. Can we not enjoy the great football now and still acknowledge the success the last coach delivered? I know I can...

Also, how can you not love Mancini?

Despite his faults, falling outs, etc. he delivered the FA Cup and the Premier League. I will always have the utmost respect for him and I think it's a sign of the new arrogance for any City fan to call it a "hard on for Mancini".

You know exactly what you sound like Carl? Yeah, you fucking know. Knock it the fuck off.

I actually sound like someone saying it how it was back then and how it is now so wind your neck in....the cunt from Thailand called Pelligrini a clown and various were calling the Spanish duo virtually the same thing critising everything they did....this I put down to them crying about Mancinis exit.

Yr right. And so are they. Amazing conversation. Meanwhile, I'm having a shit that's fundamentally based upon too much jalapeño in my spicy Korean chirachi. Unawesome.

I think we all have respect for his achievements, but an even handed view has to take into count the more sinister and divisive side of Mancini which was not pleasant at all in the overall assessment of his time in charge.

Can never take away what he achieved, and the record books will only show his successes, but there's no reason an airbrush job should be done on his time in charge to mask the things which set the club back somewhat in his final year.

Some of these fans don't post much anymore.......which is nice.

On a personal note , I have never ever seen City play like this on a consistent basis , in fact , I don't think I have seen us play like this ever..it was all tikki takka before and predictable and nothing like what we are witnessing now.

Loving it.

Very much agreed with that last bit - I was 'guilty' of wanting stability in managers and was worried about change. Having listened to the Spanish dudes on that NYCFC clip - well it is clear they are insistent on this style of football and only managers that are committed will be selected - the great news is it is here to stay. It is also clear that Mancini was not going to fit with those 2 - that is life - we have all had to adapt to the business environment in which we work or move on. We as fans though should always treasure what Roberto did for us - some of my most treasured memories come from CITY under him

Re the journos - I hope Vicky Kloss has kept a record of those that were moderate or positive towards CITY and the rest. People like Henry Winter and Martin Samuel should be rewarded with special access. Those like that vampire looking cunt that you see on the supplement that clearly hates CITY with a passion should be given the big fuck-off.

Also - seeing that clip it is clear that the Spanish dudes have backed a lot of people at the club and, apart from the manager, seemingly not made significant changes. Vicky Kloss must be in dreamland to the see the job she got develop as it has - even BM has done very well.

I know who you mean, cant think of his name, sadly!

Wonder if Vicki Kloss is allowed in at Notts County these days?

Just put a lid on the gloating for now feedthemuppet. We are seeing some wonderful footie but we still don't know if Pellegrini has the stern stuff required for squeaky bum time. Some of the weakness of character we saw in the team in the early games may yet creep back in and he has the monkey of nine trophyless years to get off his back yet. I believe he will deliver but let's see the evidence in the trophy cabinet before we get too carried away. Meantime stop the Mancini hate whatever, he won the fucking league for christ's sake!

Socs - think most are showing an admirable balance between giving due respect to the new manager whilst also giving totally appropriate respect to what Roberto did for us.

What I particular love though is beyond the manager(s). As fans we are used to focussing on a player or a manager - just as is happening at the hammers and the scum now re managers and Liverpool re an individual player. It has been the way of things for so long - success or failure is down to those individuals and they get the credit of the sack.

Words like project and holistic are alien and to be laughed at - but when you start to look at the CITY juggernaut in more depth (which I know you would do) then such individuals are just part of the machine and whilst very important will not be 'make or break' issues. When people look back in 10 years I think that it will be clear that CITY will have broken the mould and they will all be trying to catch up and replicate the approach. But no other team is likely to be gifted the resources and approach that the Sheik/Khaldoon provides for us.

I think Chelski and Liverpool are getting it whilst the scum will likely be viewed mainly in our rear-view mirror because they still have not twigged to the need for a system different from trusting in some Scottish autocratic cunt (no offence intended to Scotland or Scottish people in general). They will cling on because of their size and spending power but they will be a tanker needing to turn - and still going in the wrong direction IMO. The arse may also take the scum route as they continue to invest in a 'manager is everything' approach.

I think Arsenal, in the event of Wenger's demise, will twig pretty quickly what is needed in the modern game. I think united might need new owners before they see the light, but their way of doing things is archaic, and can't survive in the modern game.

Having said that, it's taken our own fans till now to work it out even though successive chief execs and sporting directors have been pushing in this direction for a long time.

The critical thing is that no single piece of the machine is a single point of failure under this system. When done correctly, the director of football setup where the manager understands his job is to coach, motivate and pick the team ONLY, with a say in transfer targets, but by no means the final say, means total continuity for the club no matter what happens in the managers hottest.

The continued mention on this site of 'stability' seems only to apply to managers, but the reality is that clubs should be able to switch coaches every season under a correctly implemented system the way we are going, and swapping one top class coach for another would have similar impact to swapping a forward, slightly different characteristics and way of doing things, but with the same goal in mind.

I think their idea was to have a club that, top to bottom, was interchangeable and that removing a coach, a manager, captain, director, would not impact the club as severely as...oh I dunno, as Taggart retiring did to the rags.

And become like THEM? No thanks mate. We should keep up the charm offensive by playing exciting football and acting with dignity. No Ministry of Truth for us.

This is the City way. Holistic, man.

I have never ever stated I hated Mancini , as has been said numerous times you pompous cretin.

You on the other hand have stated that Pellegrini is a clown.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
