I just can't see what the problem is with disallowing their so called goal. 3 of there players were in an offside position when he shot and all 3 of them we're moving as the ball passed them. How was Hart to know Goufran would duck out of the way and not try and head it? Offside all day long for me.

Great win well fought and fingers crossed for Nasri. The dirty fookin bastids

Nasri is a huge worry. From the look on his face, I fear he could be out for a long spell, maybe even miss the WC which would be gutting for him given his form this season.

Yeah great win but losing nasri will hurt our ambitions. I like milner and navas but they are just not as good a replacements for what he does for us.

Also worries about yaya. Back injuries can linger if thats what it is.

We were far from our best today, especially in terms of keeping possession of the ball, but it was a gutsy performance and the type that wins you titles. We weren't helped by a woefully incompetent refereeing performance and a Newcastle side that seemed hellbent on hospitalising several of our players

Newcastle are now my second most hated team - dirty bastards

its a great three points, all other sides in this league would have lost this one, great character against the hatchet men.

Exactly,3 players in an offside position.Of course they are fucking active. They are active because they are in front off the keeper and in his line off vision he is anticipating them connecting .It is not like they were making their way back running from an off side postion either, they were blatantly stood off side NO GOAL simple.

I don't even need to see the after match interviews to know what the script will be for this match - poor Newcastle and the goal that should have been - rather than dirty Newcastle and the lumps they kicked out of us for most of the match.
So this is how it feels to be City,
This is what it means to stand tall,
This is how it feels when our club has no debt at all.

Apart from the Nasri incident I loved that game. Even though everything seemed against us after the chalked off goal we stood firm and even went on to get another. A scrappy away from home 3 points will do me just fine and although the big story will be the disallowed goal and Pardew getting his quotes on all the back pages, it's us who have walked away victors.

As for the Nasri challenge, the fucker should've been off without a doubt. Jones, as previously mentioned, is a wierd fuck who can't handle the crowd and regularly makes strange decisions. It wasn't even as if he couldn't see it properly, the fucker had 3 goes at him and eventually lashed out. If that's not dangerous play, with a player being stretchered off, then I don't know what is.

Chuffed to fuck though and maybe we'll hear less of our supposed terrible away form.

The fact is that if the Newcastle player in an offsides position didn't move out of the way at the last moment, the ball would have hit him. 100% 'active' and definitely not a goal.

I am loving it that we did the dirty bastards and had one over their f***ing old c**ts Ashley Pardew and Kinnear. Hart and Kolarov were fantastic today and if Nasri is out for 3 months or more that Newcastle player should be facing a retrospective ban. The toon army will be going on about that "offside" for years well they should have had two players sent off both Cabaye and Yanga-Mbiwa should have gone. What about Negredo's offside at the Eithad that was not even worthy of debate it was a shocker. He was 2 yards on. Last time we won 2-0 at Newcastle we won the League -- Loving it!

It will be a great shame if Nasri has an extended injury lay off. I was hoping just before that happened that he would be taken off and Milner come on for him but Pellers didn't act soon enough. For this kind of match we need a Milner more than a Nasri.

We were kicked to death....

Think if Jones hadn't disallowed their goal he might have shown them at least 1 red and Nasri wouldn't be injured...

Good cool headed win in the end. But a few points in the cold light of day. Course they fuckin kicked, they'd just had a perfectly good goal disallowed so worked out the ref wouldn't send one off as he will have known at halftime. He has been shit from day 1 that ref and often loses control through his incompetence. Second point. We got outmuscled in midfield with Ya Ya clearly not fit and Dinho largely going missing, what does Milner have to do to get on the pitch at a sensible time? Maybe we're about to see now it looks like Samir will be out for a while.Edin was the man in form on the day, not Neg who has often been poor away as he was again today.Unlucky to get pulled. Still need a tougher CM. Overall, relief as well as satisfaction. Good pass from Garcia for the second goal.Hart superb.

Dug that one out, terrific result.
Media have officially downgraded our away form from 'poor' to 'patchy'

Hopefully none of the injuries are significant

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says Samir Nasri has suffered a suspected medial ligament injury and will be assessed on Monday. The Frenchman was stretchered off following a nasty kick to the knee inflicted by Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa - the Magpies defender getting away with a yellow card.
