Thank god. Why would we need his disruptive influence?? The team is harmonious, everyone is happy, the press are more interested in gollum and jose - why sod that up?

Nasri's injury is not good but hopefully Milner gets a run in the side. Very under-rated imo and never been given a decent run.

Given how well he's played this season 8 weeks is a killer injury, and theres little point pretending it isn't.

Couldve been worse, but he does miss Chelsea, Spurs A, Barcelona H and likely the Capital One Cup Final too which are all huge games he would have been utilised in.

I fookin hate that shitbag, no mark player that crocked him and wish him a similar injury in the very near future.

Does it mean he comes back fresh for the run in though? Gotta look for a silver lining here

Could be like having a new player, massive potential impact in the title race. Whilst he will have had an injury to rehabilitate, he will have missed 10/15 potential games which should leave him good throughout the run in

i don't wish an injury on any player. I hope he finds commune with the divine and sees the error in his ways and tries to balance out his karma some other way by doing good in the world and finding peace within himself.

In instances like this where it is clear that the opponent deliberately causes injury, they should be banned for the same length of time it takes the injured player to recover. Probably unworkable , but there is clearly no justice for the injured player/ team.

That's extraordinarily magnanimous of you.
I sincerely hope there's no sarcasm intended.
Peace, brother.

While it is shit that he is out for 2 months I think he is a player we can cover and cover well. We have Milner, Navas and Jovetic if we can get him fit if it's Yaya or Kompany with that injury then I would have been really worried as these two IMO are irreplaceable in our current squad.

Disagree Samir has been far superior to Silva this season and with his current form will be missed more than Silva might ( or was !).

Samir also takes corners better than David, who quite frankly has been awful this season at taking corners.

It's a relief he is only out for that length of time but it's such a shame to lose a player in such great form.

Nasri has been brilliant and will be missed but Silva is another class and Nasri doesnt touch him even on this seasons form.

Silva has been dogged by injuries all season & I don't believe it is a slight on him to suggest that Nasri was in better form overall so far. It's a pity he will be sidelined for so long in such a crucial period, but I'm relieved to hear that he should be back this season & ready for the WC. Wish him a speedy recovery & expect Milner, Navas & hopefully Jovetic to step in big time now.

Samir is replaceable though. Samir is much approved but I would take Silva over him everyday of the week.

David is replaceable . As was proven when he was injured. Nobody in our squad is irreplaceable. As we saw in early December , jimbo upped his games and was the star of Bayern.

Now missing out on Nasri for 8 weeks really does put pressure on us to win the prem....he is a massive massive loss , make no mistake.

100% agree. There is literally only one Yaya Toure, he has defined the position, like makelele. Kompany is our heart and soul, our captain.

Also Sergio to an extent. While we can replace Sergio against average teams, we can only reach the next level of world class when he is in the lineup.
