There has been a lack off transparency with his injuries, contradictions ,misinformation. I don't blame the Club, at the end off the day I don't see what City can do if a player keeps telling them he is injured, other than try and protect their investment by trying to release something plausible to satisfy the fans natural curiosity.

Depending who you believe then Jovetic had his heart set on a move to Juventus in the summer. Unfortunately Juventus could not afford the transfer fee. City could and bought him.

As we all know he has hardly kicked a ball for 6 months. Yet strangely it appears not to have dissuaded Juventus or Fiorentina from inquiring about his availability on loan for the rest off the season.

I have this irrational fear that maybe the player or his agent might be deliberately trying to decrease the value off our investment to such an extent that City might be forced to take what they can get and take a heavy hit and lose a substantial outlay in the process.

All will be revealed in the coming weeks, hopefully he will return and play a key part in our run in,we badly need him,and i will be proved to have an over active imagination. If he doesn't return though, and starts citing that he is still injured then in my opinion you have to start thinking there could be an ulterior motive to his long term absence, and that him and his agent might be taking the metaphorical out off City to engineer his cut price move to Juventus in the summer when our £24,000 000 investment is vastly reduced to such an extent that Juventus can afford it, win win for Jovetic, his agent ,Juventus ,City big losers.

Sorry, I smell a rat here, I totally distrust Italian Clubs.

Totally agree. It has all the hallmarks of the Jerome Boateng move. He wanted to go to Bayern but Hamburg wouldn't sell to them so he came to us and ultimately ended up where at his preferred club 1 year later!
I thought we would use Jovetic to land Pogba but it appears he's off to PSG.

All this about his mentality i remember when we signed him all the stories were about how mentally strong he was to overcome adversity to finally hit the big time this and that.
If he doesn't get fit and sort his head out then he can fuck off in the summer for me.

I'd play anywhere for 80k a week.
He was never me,me,me but always you, you, you

We can only believe what the club tell us, which in this case is very little.Seems some peoples patience is wearing thin and paranoia is setting in.

Anyway I'm still optimistic hes just had niggles and keeps rushing himself back too fast and was accidentally making it worse each time. Even if he wasn't settling well in Manchester I'd have thought he'd at least want to keep playing football. The longer the situation goes on the less sense it makes.

I agree with zabba, something isn't right here and juve will be all over him in the summer if not this month. Chances of him playing tomorrow? He will take one look at Grant Hanley and shit himself!

I wish the OS would turn up the volume of the people asking the questions. It's hard to hear what they're asking without having pellers voice blasting away your eardrum.

I'll second that emotion - either sort the sound out or put subtitles up - my lugs are poor at the best of times so the pressers are mostly a guessing game due to sound issues.

Re Jovetic; I've read some pretty dire guesses at what his issues might be, both on here and on other forums, but I think IMO we should just chill and leave it to the club to resolve as chances are that it's nothing more than a bad run of injuries and that the many varied attempts to settle on the issue by trashing his reputation is unfair to the guy.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

I agree about the guessing but the fact of the matter is we need a 4th choice striker playing NOW, we can't expect Negredo and Dzeko to continue as they are, we have aguero coming back from injury but right here and now is when we need a 4th choice striker with the two on paper easy games coming up and its right the questions have to be asked. he is no use to us fit at the end of the season when games are more sparse and we have everyone fit.

If he is not fit and ready to play the letting of Guidetti to Stoke go is strange, surely Guidetti be ok for the blackburn match and the west ham semi away(were under no circumstances should we take any risks).

I am just worried about the general thinness of our squad at the moment with the amount of games coming up.

I agree and think that if Pellegrini shared the concern then JG wouldn't be going out on loan right now with us in 4 competitions.
I can only guess that he either thinks that Jovetic will play a big part for the rest of the season or he has a player lined up to bring in.
I know that SJ has suffered some issues but I have sneaky feeling that he's now being kept back so that the style of play that we'll introduce with him is new to the opposition when it arrives and gives us that extra advantage in the next few months.

Hard to say really as the old leaky City is long gone and secrets are kept securely nowadays.

Rodwell injured ?

Pah.

I recon Rodwell wanted a transfer to Spurs, but they couldn't afford him, or something like that.

At the start of the season before his injuries he was hardly played and sat for many matches on the bench.
There is a little snippet of Jovetic attending a Pelligrini briefing on the OS "inside City" from last Friday:
http://www.mcfc.co.uk/citytv/Features/2 ... e-City-104
at 5.26, One of the young City staff give him a thumbs up and a friendly smile. Initially he smiles back and offers a hand but after the staff member has gone he looks in the other direction with almost a grimace. He looks fed up. His demeanour seems in stark contrast to the happy smiling faces amongst the rest of the City squad.

I wonder what psychological support the club offers to players facing difficulties settling in?

Haha, is this a wind-up?

Navas isn't smiling either & neither are Garcia, Clichy or Pantilimon. Bet they're all shooting smack & angling for a move to Juventus as well, eh?

Maybe he's frowning because he's freezing his bollocks off. There's a thought.

Perhaps we need psychological support for those suffering delusions of knowledge and thereafter presuming that he needs psychological help? Why is it that some folk who just don't know nevertheless feel the need to fill the void by hazarding a poor guess?
