That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

1) Players who play for an average side and are actually a bit shit who then move to United and then dramatically and unexpectedly get picked for England having barely kicked a ball (eg Phil Jones or Tom Cleverly - although he was on loan somewhere).

2) Arsenal keeping winning. At some point they need to fuck it up. Besides Ozil its the same sorry team as last season.

Knee Jerk Reactions by fans and media alike. Applies to clubs and players. EG Suarez recently, in a bit of form is the best player in the world. Rags are in crisis and win one game, and then they are considered outsiders for the title again!

Foul Throw-Ins. They seem to be in every single game I see and very rarely given.

A player running down the line 10 yards further from where the throw in was given, after already walking a few yards ahead of that point anyway.

Players kicking the ball out for opposition players when it is up to the ref or the other team to stop play.

DIVING! I actually HATE diving in the modern game, or any form of cheating in general.

Ticket prices!

Really really poor punditry. Unfortunately too readily accepted nowadays, and almost certainly expected.

In short I dont have just 2 annoyances, but lots and lots!

1. Time wasting - I hate it when you see a team come to the Etihad and start time wasting from the first goal kick, it infuriates me. Its more heightened when we are in a losing position - usually away from home and the opposition take an absolute age to take any kind of restart of play. (Crystal Palace and Pulis gets a special mention - horrible)

2. Corners - and David Silvas inability to beat the first man, his run up is ridiculous too. Its good Job I love him and also a good job Garcia doesnt take our corners, I would not be held responsible for my actions!

3. Ticket office.....oops sorry, I am only allowed two

I'd like to echo this. The fact that so many professional players cannot hit a decent corner at least 50% of the time is appalling.

With that said, I'm loving our set pieces under Pellegrini. Demichelles spinning off to the back post and other practiced plays are a joy to watch as they actually work consistently. tricky and effective

1.) Robinho-
He's still imo the most naturally talented player I've seen at this club, some of the things he could do, his control, tricks and composure on the ball were top notch. People go on about how Balotelli was a wasted talent but imo Robinho is the ultimate example of wasted talent. Robinho really had the raw ability and potential to go to the very top but never had the desire. Compare this to Ronaldo, a player with probably similar raw abilities, but look how desperate and determined he was to become the best player in the world. Robinho always stayed in his comfort zone at every club he's been at and never pushed himself as much as he should have.

2.) Wingers with nothing but pace
It's a very english thing to wax lyrical about a player who can knock a ball past his defender and run on to it. Even if the majority of the time they then smack the ball into the first defender or produce a shit shot.
I used to really think Walcott was the most overrated player, sure he was quick and could beat his man but 95% of the time his end product was utter shite. There's no point beating two men and then fucking up the cross. To be fair he has massively improved though and now has a pretty decent end product.
Also when I used to play 11 a side, we had a right winger who was a sprinter and was lightening quick so he could knock a ball past a man and run and then usually hit the cross into the side netting or over everyone's head. Didn't stop the manager calling him our 'star player'. Also these types of players are very easy to defend against, just give them space and stand off.
That's why I like Navas so much, yes he has the blistering pace, but he has the end product to match.

When a player takes a corner and fails to beat the first man, or puts it straight out of play.

Given the fact that corners are constantly practiced on the training pitch by players who earn a shocking amount of money, fuck ups in their delivery should simply not be tolerated and the perpetrator should be substituted immediately, led down the tunnel and be put to death.

I think that's probably just about right tbf.

I bet Uday Hussein's team never hit the first man with corner kicks.

Its Silvas run up when he takes and outswinging corner with his left foot. I have never seen a player take a corner without leaving the field of play for his run up?

I also don't understand why we mostly take OUTSWINGING corners. It's much harder to score a header from one, an inswinging corner often needs just a glance or flick on to end up in the back of the net.

They've worked quite well for us this season, wouldn't you agree? I think both have their merits, with out-swinging corners you can get more power. It also fucks with the keeper, getting ever slightly away from him. And most importantly, for in-swinging corners to be effective, you need someone who can take them accurately, something which our players failed to produce on a regular basis for years.

Out-swinging corners IN, in-swinging corners OUT. ;)

In the case of Silva, with a player who normally delivers such sublime defence splitting passes, an altogether more harsh punishment should be implemented than the death penalty. He should be immediately substituted for Garcia....

I would usually favour inswingers but I can't complain about corners this season. The one recently when Negredo ran round in a semi circle & ended up criminally missing a free header, was one of many examples of great work on the training ground & a massive improvement on recent seasons. Brought a big smile from The Count too.

Still happy to go along with the death penalty for anyone who hits the first man though.

Personally a fan of outswingers. When the ball is curving away from you it makes it harder to judge and get to, so defenders have a harder time with them. Especially when the ball moving away from you is moving towards the person you are trying to defend.

We have plenty of big bodies and seem to get contact on at least half of the balls delivered in the box. If we did a better job of getting the headers on target and away from the keeper, we'd have a bunch more goals from corners this year. The contact is there, just need better finishing.

Actually, now that I think about it: Outswingers are usually better when the ball is delivered to the near 1/2 of the penalty box, whereas inswingers are better when delivered to the far 1/2 of the box. hmm

A massive bugbear of mine. I'd extend it to free kicks as well
