HUGHES HAS HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME AND MONEY TO GET PLAYERS TO DO THE BARE MINIMUM MATE AND UP TO NOW IT HAS,NT WORKED OUT- IM SURE WE WILL GIVE THE NEXT GUY THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME HUGHES HAD...........IM CERTAIN IT WONT TAKE HIM AS LONG (MANCINI - MOURINHO - HIDDINK - TAKE YOUR PICK)

Look, all I expect and I'm sure I can speak for the other Hughes outers too is we want realistic results and performance from the talent we now have.

Hughes is failing/failed at this, and if the next guy fails then he can go too.

Mancini is allegedly a close acquaintance of Khaldoon -- and i'm sure if he's found himself in the job then he's been whispering in Khaldoon's ear from time to time about how he would handle this kind of talent differently. Maybe we'll get to find out...

That would be my concern as well, but I understand where Edge and George Clooney (carl_feedthegoat) are coming from.

I am all against knee-jerk reactions.... but does this still classify as a knee-jerk reaction? Hughes is brilliant in some departments (mainly PR) but also the mentality change... he has changed a lot in a short period of time... but the problem is that on the pitch not a lot has changed. Yes we only lost twice (to very good teams) but in between we saw at least half a dozen abysmal performances against team we should destroy considering the players available to us.

Roberto Mancini will be the next coach of Manchester City. The former coach of Inter has 48 hours in England and is in talks with the leaders of the Citizens. The negotiation is now taking off: completed three years of contract. The announcement of his engagement will be given between tonight and tomorrow, whatever the outcome of the match this afternoon between City and Sunderland. The club of Manchester has now been successfully taken the decision to exempt Mark Hughes. The staff that Mancini will bring in Great Britain there will be as vice Fausto Salsano, former midfielder of Parma, Sampdoria and Roma, and as athletic trainer Andrea Carminati. Both were with the technician Jesi also Inter.

Italy-s Sky Sports confirms Mancio as our new manager. Nothing yet on the Gazzetta website (usually fairly reliable)
