With a few grand in his back pocket? Astounds me that with 103 goals we are still to have a penner

We've had a few pens mate, Everton and WBA off the top of my head are two.

I remember when Liverpool had "won the league" back in December. 8 points off the pace now and a huge derby against Everton next.

MOTD RUNNING ORDER

Who's on first on tonight's Match of the Day then? Plan your evening around this lot, on BBC One at 2220:

1. Man City v Cardiff, 2. Arsenal v Fulham, 3. Liverpool v Villa, 4. West Ham v Newcastle, 5. Sunderland v Saints, 6. Palace v Stoke, 7. Norwich v Hull
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Their keeper has had a rocky few weeks and you can see today why we let Kolo go, he was awful.

If they get to 9 behind us they are finished re the title. In reality they probably are now. Very unlikely to be 8 points better than us from now on. Now lets get 6 or 7 in front of Arse & Chelsea.

Well done Villa. I despise the dippers. They have been getting decisions like that for decades. Two evenly matched teams from what I saw of the second half

The League's surely a three horse race. One of the top three might fall away but not all three. It's a four horse race for top four. Both Liverpool clubs plus Spurs and the scum fighting for one spot. If spurs fail a new manager looks likely. If the scum fail there'll be a lot of pressure on gollum. I think Rogers and Martinez will survive pretty well no matter what.

On which side was the linesman? I have to say that if I'd been on other side, I.E. with Friedel's back obstructing my view, I probably would have given it too. Im all honesty though, it should be a fine or a retrospective match ban. And if we get caught doing the same thing, likewise for us. I seriously dislike this type of shit.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Well seeing as Friedel now plays understudy at Spurs you probs won't be getting an asisstant referees job anytime soon mate:)

I'm sure they were fighting for the league not too long ago? Seems they're turning into surrender monkeys.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "I thought first half we were not at our best. You have to give credit to Villa for that.

"They were dynamic and we could not get any flow in the game. We were disappointed with the goals.

"They played a diamond which got in between us. We played a flexible and narrow 4-4-2.

"We were too slow, and could not get the overload.

"It was a clear penalty. When you watch it closely, the goalkeeper's left arm made contact with Luis Suarez's foot. I thought we were unlucky not to get another penalty when Leandro Bacuna handballed it.

"It leaves us with the possibility of arriving in the top four, we know it was always going to be difficult for us. I have seen enough of the character of the players to keep pushing forwards.

"We cannot be at our best every day."

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard: "They deserved a point. We were nowhere near good enough in the first half. We showed good character to get back into it. Looking back it was probably a fair result.

"We expected them to be good on the counter-attack and they were even better than we thought.

"They put a lot of men around me in the first half. Whenever I got the ball they swamped me and I admit it wasn't one of my better 45 minutes.

"The problem today and the reason fans will be disappointed is our immaculate home record.

"It is no time to panic and we will carry on fighting for fourth. They are all big tests now."
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Haha, touché. Who's the goalkeeper then? My only defense is that Friedel used to play there. Didn't he? Shirley?
