Class act.

Great reception from the City fans, watched the tunnel cam as he greets Sharon Latham and Mike Summerbee warmly, returns to Mike to give him a shirt and even takes time for the doorman before speaking to Vinnie.

Even Merse seemed genuinely shocked at the great reception he got. Shame he was sold. Would still be good around the place even now and none mire do than last season. He would have slotted into Pellers ideaology like a velvet glove

Really is one of those players you love once he plays for you. His book is a great read too.

Amazing that people were saying he was finished when Bob kicked him out for not wanting to get injured.

Hated the idea of signing him, then hated the idea of selling him.

Possibly my favourite player of recent times. Who would have thought we'd end up loving Bellamy more than Robinho? Criminal that we let him go when we did. He easily had another season or two in him.

I thought he was outstanding for us and exciting to watch. His final ball was much better than most quick players from wide positions e.g. Walcott, Lennon. Genuine quality but I would nt want to manage him.

He did ok for us but wasn't all that. His all action style endeared him to supporters but ultimately not really missed that much. Although we could have done with his pace last season. A lot of games he didn't really turn up for. Never quite got the extreme love in for him.

Yup. I liked him, but we did alright without him, didn't we. Letting him go was so criminal that we won 2 titles afterwords...

The extreme love was because he was one of the most hard working, determined and passionate players to pull on the shirt. Every single game he gave 100%. What is often overlooked with Bellamy is that he could play, he could really play.
I think we did miss him because until Navas arrived we haven't had out and out pace.

I also dispute the claim he didn't turn up to a lot of games. He always turned up and always gave 100%.

He gets a bad rap for his last 6 months, but in that 6 months, Mancini in his infinite wisdom tore up his training schedule from what I recall which no doubt didn't help.

Because Mancini was black and white. Bellamy would have been great off the bench for the last couple of season. Great pace, experience, and could give tired defenders headaches with his workrate and grit.

I remember being sat in the ground pre kickoff, at the time Mancini was looking to move Bellamy out as quick as possible, & Bellamy was kicking the ball around with the subs.

On the screen behind, was all these highlights of goals flying in & stuff voted by fans, & it's "Best...blah blah..voted by the fans..CRAIG BELLAMY, (cheers) best...goal of ...player of.... etc etc CRAIG BELLAMY (cheers) "

And he's not allowed to play for us, then he's gone.

Terrible management.

Will always be a legend. He clouted a scum fan on the pitch. What's not to love about him?
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012
