Man Of The Match v Cardiff

Postby King Kev » Sun Jan 19, 2014 10:05 am

We had quite a few contenders yesterday in my opinion.

Yaya, Garcia and Navas all would be good shouts, but Dzeko edges it for me.

I think it may be as close to a MotM as Garcia is going to get, so makes the vote easy.

I've gone for Dzeko as his performance was a vast improvement on how he's played for most of his time here. But Yaya would have got it if I was being objective.

I've gone for Garcia, his best performance so far for us. Dzeko gets a mention for his work rate but some of his touches were so heavy they often ended our attacks

This maybe a first, people voting foe Garcia out fo sympathy that he may never get another chance.

I'm going for Dzeko, not because his touches of the ball were so much better or his finishing was so much better, but because he fought for the ball, chased people down, got involved in the game & did a fucking good job for the team, which is all I have been asking of him.

Ya Ya for me - 2 brilliant assists and a great goal - but again it is great to see others getting strong shouts as well

Voted Dzeko, but Noone for me was MotM - first time I think I've ever seen an opposition player on the losing side and thought that.

Ran Kolo and Demi ragged and had them both for pace, most of their most threatening play came through him on that side and Kolo/Demi really struggled to cope with him - and his work for the goal was superb, made Vinni look like an ameature.
