We won't have played the first leg until AFTER the FA cup tie with Chelsea.

Home draw is all we could ask for.

Get through that round and the remaining teams will have thinned out. Tough tie though and they will park the bus.

Why would Maiureen not go full strength. Unlike us they don't have a CL game a few days later.

I'm so disappointed by the draw that I got my dates mixed up. At least we won't be travelling to Barca after the match. Still it's very tough for Pellegrini. The owners will absolutely expect him to play his strongest side against Barca and put everything we have into that match. It will be very hard to get our top 11 to play a relentless pressing game against two top teams in just a few days. Fingers crossed we beat Chelsea with no injuries and have enough in the locker a few days later against one of the best teams in the world. We've just got to suck it up.

League Cup - Final Man City V Sunderland Sun 2 Mar 14:00

8 games in 33 days, 1 game every 4 days, against some very tough opposition. This ain't gonna be easy!

Chelsea get it a little easier, not playing midweek following our game when we have got a huge game against Barca.

At least 4 games, Sunderland, Chelsea, Barca and then Chelsea again, all at home. Tough games but made a little easier as there's not much travel.

Oh, and it's gonna be an expensive month for those closer to home. The price of success eh ;-)

Love the draw though. These matches are just a dream. Afters decades of misery it's such a great feeling to know we can beat these sides and that they really fear coming to us..

Norwich and Sunderland are where we give our players a rest, and again for Stoke at home. Play a near best team against Chelsea and then again against Barca. 2 games in 4 days is acheiveable with a break either side.

Barca do play on the same dates but their home game prior is to a bottom of the league team. They could afford to play a 2nd team but now that Real have taken top spot, they'll have to ensure a win.

The one good thing with drawing Chelsea is that any replay will come after the Cap One final, as they are playing CL the midweek before.

A tie and replay against anyone else in that draw, and that replay game would have fell in the midweek before the Cap One Final. Now at least we have 8 days between Stoke home game and Cap One final at Wembley to focus our minds on getting some silverware on the board, and make amends for that Wigan debacle last May.

Why not the Friday Night? If the Ars can play Fridays then why not us v. Chelski.
