Adebayor

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Adebayor

Postby nottsblue » Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:12 pm

Read a report today saying we have been paying him up to half his salary of £170k a week since he signed for Spuds, although the figure is apparantly more likely to be £40k a week. Still a lot of money. I know this goes on in football and is more common than you might think, (utterly baffles me), but it got me thinking.

Would we have been better served keeping him, like Danny Mills, and just leaving him to rot as it were, but making him carry out every contractual obligation, because at least then he can't come back to haunt us?

If true we are still paying him then why weren't clauses inserted to say he can't play against us while he receives renumeration from us, rather like loan agreements?

It was all a part of his signing fee for Spurs. We reduced the price to £5M to free them to pay him £4M as a signing fee. They currently pay his wages which were reduced as a result.

Another world class player....isn't there already a problem with class sizes, no doubt we're going to need extra desks to fit everyone in.

In a sense we do, in actuality, we don't.

His latest honeymoon period must be nearly over by now, surely? Now he's proved to the departed AVB just how good he is (for a few games, while the mood takes him)

Maybe there's a clause in his contract (seeing as we're sort of topping up his wages) that says he has to play like a cunt against us

Alongside his fee which was £12 million (including what they paid for him on loan) we don't pay a penny for his wages. Parasite he is, but he's no longer sponging off us.

Was an absolute prick in this game. I'm certain he shoved yaya hoping for a reaction before he left the pitch and a possible 2nd yellow.

Can't believe he didn't get done for the stamp of pushing yaya off the pitch.

The stamp is probably karma from when we all laughed at him doing it to some twat whose name escapes me.

The rest I'm allowed outrage over :)
