Really? Even after his recent gaffes in the last 2 FA cup games (Blackburn away and Watford)?

just got to watch this.

Zaba had a pretty poor first half but reigned it in in the second. Vinny, on the other hand, was massive all night and destroyed Adebayor.

Jovetic looked rusty, as expected, and it was great that he got a goal. that will help his confidence, which surely is pretty low after being out for so long.

Andre Mariner had quite a bad match.

Dzeko sure is wasteful.

Its pretty telling that Pellegrini would rather move Demichelis into midfield and break up his center back pairing rather than bring on Rodwell.

Hope Yaya and Aguero are okay. We need them vs Chelsea.

Fantastic matchweek. Arsenal drop points, Chelsea drop points, we demolish Spurs, and we go top of the league.

Not enough is being said about silvas pass also. One of the best assist I've ever seen.

Never let it be said that David Silva cannot deliver the ultimate defense splitting, perfectly timed pass!

How's that for you ?

I didn't give him enough (any) credit when it actually happened, it was only after the match when I saw a few replays and a slowmo of it - it was absolutely inch perfect.

I was talking to a girl at work who knows nothing about football but indulges me when I am bursting to talk about the game.

I said the goal was just so pretty, the weight on the pass was just perfect, the way the ball just seemed to meld with his run and the most delicate of chips over the keeper to be gently cushioned by the side netting just inside the post.

She laughed and said she didn't understand how a goal could be pretty.

Very good point mate!

IMO, the penalty was a result of the Marriner's first half indulgence of Spurs. He and his assistant refs go into the dressing room, get to see the handball, the stamp on Demi's knee and some of the other tackles that went unpunished. Perhaps they even thought Aguero's injury was caused partly by Dawson as well. I don't know. But anyway, they knew that they had let some things slide in the first half and that they had go up their game in teh second half. That's how I see it. Had Marriner not let Spurs get away with some of their shenanigans (underrated word) in the first half, the penalty and the red card would probably not have happened.

I still think a penalty AND a red card is too much. Can't argue for it but it feels over the top.

And it went in."

What's happened to our third goal (Dzeko's). I missed the 2nd half, and it's not on either the full or short highlights on the os. The full highlights showed him missing loads, but not the one he scored. They showed the goals on BBC this morning and it was missing from there as well.

Mrs says that to me as well. She's like what the fuck is a peach? Or how can a goal be sexy?

Sensational first half hour and a great away performance.

Time to go for the throat against Chelsea on Monday night.
