Having indoctrinated my son into being a blue in 1977 at the age of three I have felt guilty over the last thirty years. Now it's payback time!!

I would love to say I get that, but I really don't.

Are we going to finish 4th?

That's it, you're banned.

We are not allowed to talk about that until we win three and still have a shot at 4.

We need to win some pots.

Keep winning and our play will do the talking for us. I think it about right that we keep Wigan last May in mind to stop us getting ahead of ourselves as weve won bugger all as yet.

Once we are parading Cups, that will be the time to talk.

well I am just enjoying the football and the spirit now established in the squad... the push to keep attacking as the best form of defence and desire for more goals. There is something simple about going out to score as many as possible, winning is a by product of scoring so much. Not a bad philosophy for a football team, helps er quite a lot to have some outstanding players and hats off to Pellegrini for upping the team ethic.

It is all great to watch and while they haven't won any competitions yet I'm just taking it as it comes looking forward to each game and the big testing ones with fascination of how the team will deal with the best opposition out there.

Turning round the Bayern game was one of the key moments for me and I believe the players, team, squad and club grew that night... sort of lit a proper ambition as opposed to a fantasy.

What I want to see is that ambition to beat flat all opposition that is put in front of them.

Monday is the next chance to do that, that it all.

Had a free day today so read quite a few reports for the papers.

I think there was a step up in the commentary about us and it was uniformly positive (apart from a few grumbles about two decisions that is).

There were quotes like "Brilliant. Just Brilliant" and from another "Such poise. Such control".

Then I realised that we played in London last night so all the journos must have been out and seen in person what we've all been seeing for some time!
