You must be mad he was shooting like heskey last night

He did fluff some chances but most of them were pretty hard to make to be fair. More importantly, he was a great team player yesterday by holding up the ball, dragging defenders and making some sweet passes. Yesterday he reminded me of the player we bought a couple of years ago and who seemed quite smart on his debut.

I agree with much of what you have said. It's great to see him putting in the graft for the team. His first touch wasn't three bad last night, but his shooting, well I'm not going to say any more on that

Edin was erratic. However, get the feeling the players have been asked to try from all situations, not just walk it in. So you have to take the ball as it comes.Last night it bobbled a bit.

Nice to listen to a manager, like Pellers, that does not bother with mind games unlike Baconface or that twat Mourinho who I suspect will not shut up between now and Monday. I would very much like to stuff them by 5 on Monday and see him talk his way out of that.

+1

Silva for mom. Tough to call as Kompany outstanding. Had Adebayor in pocket. Imagine what Adebayor would have done to Nastastic? Navas solid as per usual. Clichy had great game. Honestly thought Lennon had been taken off at half time. Dzeko led line well. A great team performance. Pellers deserves a lot of credit as well

I think Demichelis in his defensive midfielder role when Nasti came in is worh a mention,
dint put a foot wrong and is accurate with his passings. Good signing.

Demi did give the ball away once in the 2nd half by passing straight to a spurs player 10 yards away when he should have just passed back to Vincent.

But that's just nitpicking. He steps into the DM role seamlessly, gets stuck in with some well timed tackles, almost always looks composed, distributes the ball quickly, and has a good sense of where the pressure is coming from when he's facing our goal to keep possession (which is rare for a defender). Can see why Pellegrini snached him up so quick.

Vinnie for me, kept things together at a tine when things started to crumble towards the end of the second half and topped it off with a nice goal.

Silva and Jesus were top notch again, couldn't choose between those two so capt fantastic gets the nod!

Demi looks better in DM than CH - really like him in that position - he'd be a valid replacement for Gaz Baz ...

It has to be said, I though Nasty Stitch looked good when he came on too.

I went for Komps, but it's one of those that needs two votes, one for Komps and one for Silva, they were both equally magnificent.

Something my lad pointed out was, when MD plays in defence it looks like he is running in treacle, but when he is in midfield he looks like a young Gazelle.... mind tricks!!

I actually thought putting him into defensive mid was a very good tactical move by Pellegrini. Just prior Spurs pulled a goal back and had a bit of momentum and often when your team is down to ten men, the crowd really get behind them and they all try that bit harder. Had they got another I think we may have shat ourselves a little bit.
However, Demichellis really helped to take the sting out of Spurs and any momentum they had by just calming things and slowing them down, helping us keep the ball and really tire out the ten men.
