Insane save , really

The SkySports interviewer, talking to Spews just after the game, said to him "Seven minutes of extra time; seems to happen a lot to Manchester Utd, doesn't it ??"

Spews didn't rise to it but even little media digs such as this are further evidence that Ferguscum's carefully constructed facade is now "cracked and broken at the seams" (to quote King Crimson).

Such mischievous comments would have been unthinkable last season.

Watching MOTD, Alan Hansen , on discussing Mata says "He will be an integral part of the New Man United". I felt it needed to be recorded somewhere, because i am just wondering when this New Man United will turn up .

Even the rags on ragcafe know not to play him on the right. He will be an integral part of their side when they change it to a 4-2-3-1, which they can't do half way through a season without fucking it worse than they already have. Ironically they will have to change to a style more like Mancini's in order to make best use of him.

That's the dream, but not even remotely true.

I'd play a 4-4-1-1 and fuck Shrek off if it were me, but I doubt they can do that without Moyes receiving death threats and we can't have that, need him in the job for as long as possible.

Well Slim , it is all about opinions isn't it. Let's see if Mata can produce anything with this midfield group at the rags.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say he will not be that great for united.

Certainly not worth the 37 mill they forked out for him.

Back to the weekends other games , we should not forget that Stoke's win put them on 25 pts. There are many teams on 22-23pts , WBA needs to take something out of their home game today against Scouse 2 today.

Rags tried various formations v Stoke & weren't especially good at any of them.

They will do what they have always done when a problem arises; chuck a load of money at it.

To be fair they don't have the players to do anything else.

Ghost of Bacon matter for nothing these days and without that coupled with RVPs injury they've been found out.

Shows how that fear factor/ref bullying/management collusion bollox probably earned them 12-15 pts every season easy. At least.

They did at Stoke, mate. Absolutely no purpose to their game, which was going to happen as Mata fills a hole in their squad that doesn't exist.

I haven't seen the dippers as lifeless as that for ages. They have 4 attacking players and all they do is give it to one of them ,usually Coutinho, and hope they do it for them.Albion sensibly didn't commit too much so always had them covered so it needed the dippers to be more committed to winning. They weren't so they didn't win.Really poor performance even though they should have won but for Kolo.

I hate cheering for Pulis. Mister Merchandise needs to grind out a result for us though.

19th century football winning. You have to get behind defences in these circumstances which means getting down the flanks. Palace doing nothing up front. Come on Palace!!!
