Unlike Mancini, Perllers has been unpredictable with formations, tactics and substitutions. The last one being Demichelis playing in midfield. As such, there's a possibility that we might give Jose some of his own medicine (#parkthebus) for two reasons. First, give Chelsea some illusion that they can actually win this and invite them into our half for the first 20-30min, only to find out that they are trailing 2-0 thanks to our brilliant recent counter attacks. Second, there's a possibility that Barca might out-possess us, and implementing such tactics tonight might give the team some preparation for the Barca game.
Or, we might just play the best entertaining game ever and lead 4-0 at halftime.

De Michelis will play defensive midfield instead of Fernandinho. Kola in for Clichy. Plenty of crossing potential for Negredo and Dzeko but weakness down the left flank and Fernandinho and Aguero will be badly missed.

Fernandinho rumours was true then. I don't think that side is quite good enough. Taking Nasri, Kun and Ferna out is a big ask.

Rather have Milner or Rodwell, or tbh even Garcia in midfield, Very strange decision.

Mourinho predictably playing 4-3-3 with three defensive midfielders; Matic, Luiz and Ramires. Willan Eto and Hazard up front. No Cole which is a mistake. He's better than Azpalicueta.

Anyone think pellers is thinking he can rotate Vinnie and Demi between holding midfield and cb? Moving Vinnie up seemed to work recently.

Not recently. Cole has been awful since some time.

Feel bad for Fernandinho since he was just saying in the media that he was looking forward to playing with the Brasil coach watching :(

But chelsea have gove with a midfield 3 (and 2 of them defensive). They're probably looking to break up our possession but if Silva, Toure, and Navas all step up we should be good. Without dinho I'm proper bricking it....

COME ON CITY!!

Garcia's injured. Rodwell was shit given the chance. I think he feels De Michelis is a better defensive midfielder than Milner. No Nasri No Aguero No Fernandinho. A big ask.
