Hard working by accounts. However it was a poor outfit fighting relegation we played. This is the sort of game he should take by the scruff of the neck, make it his own and show why he should start more often. Creativity was lacking. By most players it has to be said but nonetheless the point is about Milner. I rate him and would love him to play a bigger part but, for me, he has regressed and is at the moment no more than an adequate squad player. A shame

Wednesday we were all screaming for him to be a bit more pragmatic because of our injury problems, lets not lose the game we thought, we were 3 points ahead off Chelsea. So he goes 4-4-2 changes fuck all and we get over run in midfield and we lose the game.

Today we are up against relegation material, he takes off Jovetic on 60+ minutes, and takes off Negredo in a game we need to win ?,

Seriously wtf ?

Can you guess though ? Go on, have a go & see if you can figure it out.
Stop thinking you know everything about football Ted ?,you go on about MDM sucking his dick as though is he is the second coming yet the phone lines are jammed with those who think different to you,the clown isn't fit enough to wear a City shirt.

You have an opinion nothing more,Your opinion is no different to anybody else s despite you thinking you have some sort of superiority complex.Personaly i think you chat as much shit as you do sense. That is my opinion.

Pellegrini has just revealed on GMR he played Ya Ya deliberately deeper as the holding midfielder, speechless ?.

Only one striker on the pitch at the end who cant hit a barn door and we waste Ya Ya playing him so deep.

why do we take corners, we might as well give the other side the ball as we keep putting the ball on the near post and the other team clears the ball. we need to put the ball around the pen spot,

Did ok but not special. One big flaw I have noticed is the number of times he receives the ball & hasn't got a picture in his head of what's around or behind him, so he has to pass it backwards or square which ruins the move. That's ok for a Stuart Pearce type team, but he needs to do much better at this level if he wants to play in the centre.

When he can see the play ahead of him, he sometimes plays some really top quality stuff.

I think it was just typical of our day today. I'm sure I read somewhere that we have upped our goal scoring from corners this season. I think that's right? Sounds like nothing went for us today.

At one point late on we were attacking and there were only one blue shirt in the area surrounded by 6 yellow shirts. We did not go for it and we looked like a team lacking confidence. Bad day at the office a few more like these and Liverpool will be back in contention for the title. Fernardinho is going to come back in the team and look at the table and think WTF we were top when I got injured. I also blame Tim Sherwood for the jinx he put on us for saying we were the best team on the planet he just did Mourinhos and Hughtons team talk.

We missed two sitters from corners today.

That's job done. Creating two clear cut chances from corners in 90 mins is excellent, especially when it's blowing a gale.

Why didn't Milner play defensive midfield so Ya Ya could play further forward. He might as well not be on the pitch when he's playing deep.

I agree. It's a strange one as Yaya is effective as far up as playing just behind the main striker. No need to use him so deep against Norwich

I was listening to the commentary and I swear that Toure's name wasn't mentioned for the first 20 mins of the second half and I had to look to see if he had been subbed and I missed it.
I'm getting a bit edgy about MP's tactics of late, i personally think Lopez should be used more when we need to change something......like today !!!
Totally gutted at the minute but trying to stay positive and I guess if we're going to have a blip lets hope that is it !!!

If you were listening to the commentary of Radio Manchester you wouldn't have heard the game mentioned at all, just two gas-bags chatting shit.

This is what worries me about Pellers. I'm 100% behind him like near enough every other manager that we've had but when I see a manager playing the same way, week-in/week-out, without a thought for the oppo's tactics then it does make me think. When we have our full squad fit then I'd say even most of us could put that team out and win yet when we have injuries this is when the manager earns his corn.

This was also mentioned of Mancini and it's worrying when we go from a strong position in the league, with a chance to overall our opponents, to being behind 2 teams, one of whom I'd say is just as strong as our own.

Still can't understand why Milner was playing infront of Yaya, a total waste in my opinion.

I'm a bit surprised at the reaction today. It's not a great result for a team chasing the league but it's a lot better than Arsenal's day. That's a proper loss. Some positives too are that Jovetic had an effective hour, we had a clean sheet, Arsenal lost, no obvious injuries suffered and we do have players close to fitness and Cardiff's new manager is having a shit evening.

We've been badly hit by our three top guns being injured. That plus all the games has really hit us. We must be favourites against Sunderland but it's difficult to be optimistic about the Chelsea and Barca games. We had a very good transfer window in the close season but we're two players short of what we need at least if you ignore left back. Missing Fernando and Mangala may cost us dear.
