The title is in our own hands again - if we win every game, no one could overtake us. That's not going to happen, but we need to get in front and then match the other teams. We need another run like the one we had prior to Chelsea.

That starts tonight. A very winnable game. Then we can move onto the next winnable game.

3 points any which way is good but a nice 2nd gear 4 - 0 cruise would put us back on an even keel

Averaging 4 goals a match and two games with no goals, we really need a 12-0 win to get everything back on track.

All is fine! We're back to lower case subjects! :-)

Recon we'll need the old leather balls that Ted used to play with though!

Can the match really go ahead? Incredibly windy and it could be a leveller.

There is this one guy I really hate, not because he is bad, but because he has something which I dont.

Spanish translator in Manchester City, he sits in the team talks with Pellegrini, he is the translator for Aguero and other players who talk in spanish, he is there at times to watch teams training. Wish I had his job !

And I fucking starting off from London an hour ago, now stopping for fuel, and another 3 hrs to go for me ... it better go ahead!

Tweeted supporter services of what %chance of cancellation, they said 100% going ahead at 7:45pm kickoff ... so I guess it's on!

It's brightened up a lot in the last couple of hours and the weather warning has changed from red to amber. The Sunderland fans will also be setting off, so the window for a postponement has surely gone.

But on the grounds it's cold, windy, I have either plague or a cold, I have to be up early and half our first choice 11 are injured, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

West coast mainline shutting from 7. I'd be surprised if it goes ahead. There must come a point when it's just too windy for 'not fit' referees to keep on their feet!

I hate Sunderland. If we were going to score 10 I wish it would be against them. Hate them.

That said I'd be happy with any win.

Coming in from North Wales where it's very windy. But looking at the BBC forecast strong winds and rain in Manchester seem to peak around 1900hrs at around 33mph and then the rain and wind abates (about 23mph at 2100hrs)

Whatever the weather the ball needs to STAY ON THE FLOOR!

Was hoping it was going to be called off and re-scheduled in a few weeks time when we hopefully have Aguero, Nasri, Fernandinho back. Think it will be a poor game, Sunderland will follow the same kind of game plan used by Chelsea and Norwich. Early goal required or we could be set for a frustrating evening.

So if its super windy, id prefer to see Milner on the right instead of Navas. Milner is much better defensively and Navas' strength is crosses, and crosses won't work if its really windy.

Very good point.

I'd like to see Rodwell behind Toure in midfield, but I doubt that's going to happen. Jovetic really needs to step up tonight if he plays.

Jovetic needs to learn to fucking move once he's passed the ball and not stand there with that "I have no idea what to do now?" look on his face. Same problem Sami had when he joined, hopefully we won't need two years to get him out of that habit.

Yeah, he doesn't seem to be on the same wave length as the rest of the team at times. You'd have expected him to have built a better understanding by now despite his injury record. Struggling to see why we paid so much for him at the moment.
