There's a pitch inspection before every game. It's on the tick list to be attended by the match officials so not really news and not even trepidation as the mid-week game wasn't called off because of a pitch issue.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

He keeps the game in the papers, I guess. The fact that he poisons football wherever he goes doesn't seem to be a problem for the authorities. No doubt he'll be wearing a black armband in honour of Tom Finney today. A man a million miles away from him in every imaginable way.

Dzeko in goal and three at the back is risky. Interesting to see how hart does up top as well.

All it needs is Silva in goal and it's a breeze.

No lineups yet but Lopes tweeted he is not in the squad today. Thought he would've been on the bench

I remember Doug saying that he was playing for the EDS. Even so, I wouldn't have expected him for this one.

Why the fuck we have to rest Hart EVER is beyond me. I've gone off Panti , hes officially shite. The rest of the line up is fine , Ill be on Lescott watch again.

not a surprise. i didnt expect to see Nasri start; hes been out for so long that it was to be expected that he'd only feature in some small part. Milner over Navas with, possibly, Hazard on that side is also smart. Toure needs to not let Matic be his equal again--he needs to dominate midfield like he should and usually does. also, with a recognized DFM behind him, hopefully Toure can maraud forward and support the attack against a presumably weakened Chelsea back line
