The results this season have not been good enough for the amount of invsetment. Hughes had to go simple as that. Good riddance. Lets move on. I personally cannot be arsed or concerned with sentimentality. Hughes will be well compensated so do not worry about how he will pay his mortgage, he will not be arsed about how i pay mine.

Haha brilliant! Well said!

But are you going to be as impatient with our new man as you were with Hughes.
Will you be on Mancini's back as quickly or as vehemently?
Or will you give him the patience that you never gave to Hughes?

Your recent post on Benitez being given time to put things right at L'Pool directly contradicted your attitude to our own manager.

I wonder why you consider we should be in unison because it suits your view when you refused to act in unison for Hughes.

Why would he be as impatient? There was a view that we needed to do what the Scum did in the late 80'sand appoint amanager with a recordof winning trophies and givethat manager a chance. Hughes wasn't the choice of the present owners, they decided though to give him a chance to prove that he was the right man but have received no such indication. A proven manager that is the choice of the owners will get much wider support.

Suppose we have little influence over things and cant change anything and I don't know enough about his managerial career to make negative judgement.

However

I fear Doug many get arrested on his steps watching Carrington training sessions, as they may thing he his a peeping tom as management won't know he's one of us.

We are in unison behind Roberto because he hasn't even started yet. I backed Hughes at the beginning but his weaknesses where glaring and I wanted him out as soon as I realised this. It was about 4/5 months in.

People keep going on about stability just because of previous history and that has saved Hughes for this long. I am all for stability and long term but I want the right guy first, you could put an ostrich as manager and have as much stability and long term as you like, doesn't mean it's gonna work.

I never said give Benitez more time. I said Liverpool will be challenging for the top 4 and that it's a long season.

You want the next manager to have as hard a time even though he is clearly more qualified for the job that his predecessor? Strange sentiment.

Bearing in mind Hughes had us in a relegation battle then.

I will give him 10 games and by then I will have decided whether I think he is clueless and shit.
You can see it as impatience I think of it as being able to make my mind up quickly.
And thinking about it he has to win 6 of his first 10 games otherwise I will think he is the wrong choice.

Not a factor for me. His style of football at Blackburn and the step up to a big club were the issues.

Yes.
Hanging about gets little done.
I think and the first 10 games will indicate what kind of manager he is.Also looking at our next 10 games we are playing some medicore teams
