Stadium Tour

Postby nottsblue » Wed Feb 19, 2014 8:25 am

Very excited as going on the stadium tour today. Never been behind the scenes so looking forward to that. Has anyone else done it and are there any tips for photos etc you could pass on?

If I see MDM walking round I'll try to give him a dead leg!

Did it the season we were cup holders and was disappointed that there was no trophy on display, or trophy room or museum. I think they may have done something now, but I was hoping to see Bert's helmet and the blue carpet everyone talked about.

Probably the best photo opps are either the changing rooms, where you can see kits left out to sit amongst our sitting in the dugout.

As for MDM, I wouldn't bother - he's already got two dead legs

I did it way back in 05. Loved it, best photos were press room, dressing room and on the bench.

There was a small museum back then too.

My Dad and bro did the one where you go to Carrington and got all number of free training kit. My Dad got Joe Harts training jacket and jumper. They loved it and even met Alex K.

It's every day. It's better not to do it on match day, since access is restricted then (changing rooms, etc.).
Just check the official site for tickets and information: http://www.mcfc.co.uk/The-Club/The-Stadium-and-Club-Tours/Manchester-City-Stadium-and-Club-Tour

Really enjoyed it thanks. Got to see the executive suites where the directors wine and dine, sit in their seats, very comfy and superb view! Saw the home and away changing rooms. Ours is like a palace, massive with ice baths and showers. It even has a big physio area known as the "Rodwell Suite".
Also took in players lounge, press rooms, got to sit in Pellers chair. Went pitchside to sit in dugout, ours has heated seats! One little moan is we didn't get to see full trophy room. Just an area with memorabilia which was interesting but not the real mcoy. Lasted nearly 90 mins so well worth it. Recommend to any fan. Interestingly there were 5 Belgians on there. Apparently Vinny is winning us new fans!
