It was the worse vs the best half i've seen this season, i have no idea what Pellers told them, but this is how winning is done, this is how champions are born.

My word, i have no words, no freaking words, only this, i think in the sixth day, God created Yaya.

I only hope this is the new 'typical city' where we end up lifting the cup at the end of the day!

Very, very happy!! If there are two better cup final goals out there that our first two then I can't remember them!! Glad that the Mrs wasn't filming us on the mobile when the second went in as I nearly dislocated my ankle on a boot I was polishing at the time!!

That was a great second half, by anyone's standards. High pressure situation, everything set up for Sunderland, and we find world class goals. Plus VK won pretty much everything. You can't ask for more than that.

Well done to them all. Makes it all the sweeter that so many media wankers are fucking gutted & actually complaining that we scored two of the best goals Wembley has ever seen.

Thank the stars the class showed through in the end.

I dreaded another Wigan, thank god Yaya turns up at Wembley when it matters, two wonder goals out of nothing swung the game, I'm happy now but the old unshakeable "typical city" nerves meant i couldn't enjoy a minute of that final.

It's done now though, well done lads! We needed that win and that big boost.. this could be a huge season now.

It's vital to win trophies. All that effort to get to a final would have been wasted had we blown it today. This might "only" be the League Cup, but it's more silverware for us, and it's one cup another club haven't won this season.

If, after today's success, we weren't able to win the League (say, for example, we only finished third) but we went on to have a good run in the FA Cup (and possibly even lift that trophy as well ??), I don't know about anyone else but I'd be more than delighted with the achievements in Pellegrini's first, "learning" season.

IMHO, this would stand us in excellent stead for 2014/15 and I feel things would take off further from there.

It is a bit ridiculous and beyond hypocritical given it was really chelsea and real madrid that i recall starting this trend.

Reality is world football has a free market capitalist system without much socialist structures like a salary cap as you see in -- for example -- most american sport. Now with ffp that is changing a bit but to constantly bring up money spent by our club is inducing selective memory about other clubs and how the dominant economic structure has created such a landscape.

In the end happy days and the haters have to bow down!

Not forgetting that it is Sky themselves who started all the money that is in the game today!

Two goals worthy of the club's history books. It took us a while to realize we were in a fight, but it turned into a brilliant cup final.

I fucking love the League Cup. Early chance of silverware and a beautiful trophy. Fucking delighted.
