We arrived in north London and hit traffic as expected about 11:30, then our coach driver was clueless taking a series of wrong turns and ended up following another coach (Sunderland) as he was clueless and got turned away as it was not the city parking section, he then proceeded to do laps of Wembley stadium in bumper to bumper traffic in the hope of finding where his allotted parking spot was. By this time most of the coach were getting vexed as some people still had to pick up tickets from the ticket office, some had missed rendezvous with friends. He wouldn't let anyone off as it was a health and safety issue until they were in their designated parking area, wherever that was.
It came down to a decision " you open the doors or we open them ourselves) as it was now almost 13:30 and we had to get in the stadium yet. The driver opened the doors and most people agreed to take a picture of the coach and registration and try and find it after. Luckily (or so we thought) there was a Car park steward who said City coaches would be parking in the Yellow car park section. So off we went happy in the knowledge we could find our coach.
Got i the ground with a good 10 mins to spare, but a great shame I didn't get to the blue room as planned and get to meet up with Doomy, SoF, LAHAD, Goataldo etc etc... but I got to the game in time for kick off which was good.
GAME OVER we won, celebrated and were happy, now it was time to search for our coach who had said he was leaving 45 mins after full time, such a nice driver too! We ran to the yellow section and there were so many coaches it was horrible trying to find and and guess what? YEP, he wasn't parked in there!! We then ran to another car park where we could see lots of coaches, some City, but mostly Sunderland, we couldn't find him there either. We were reaching the 45 minute mark by now and thinking of a plan B, do we just jump another Manchester coach or should we stay down the night???? We grabbed another car park attendant and explained what happened and why we couldn't find our coach and he only knew where it was!! Stroke of luck! We ran to the place he pointed to and there it was... thank god! ?However, only a few people had found it by this point so we had to wait another 40-50 mins on top of our arrival before we set off. We had some woman come on and try and apologise as she had obviously got an earful. She blamed the car park organisers, but TBH, it was so badly organised I am amazed we found it! Now what am I going to do for travel to the FA CUP semi and final?
