We have a very good chance of getting through, much better than most people seem to think. However, I doubt we'll do it because I doubt we'll go for it. However, if we don't that leaves us 12 games to focus on and win the league, which I believe we will.

'Very good' is pushing it slightly.
We have a chance, but we'll have to be almost faultless and get a bit of luck.
This is still a side with the likes of Messi, Fabregas and Neymar in and we have to overturn a two goal deficit.

The FA Cup was certainly our best chance of another trophy. Perhaos negative, but I can't see us turning a two goal deficit around at Barca. And I think the title is rapidly disappearing. Maybe if Chelsea continue to be involved in Europe, they could take their eye off the ball in the league or run out of steam.

The CL is very much in Barca's hands. If they lose a 2 goal lead it would be a monumental result.Possible but very unlikely.

The prem is in Chelsea's hands and Jose knows it.The likelihood of City winning all remaining games is zero.Unless we suddenly start to play well we won't even challenge for the title so MP has a big job on his hands to sort the team out and get us back to playing great football and winning games.

This.

Winning the Barcelona tie is about a 1% chance, and belongs in the fairytale fable section.

The other best chance of a trophy was needlessly pissed away yesterday, largely by our manager with a daft selection, and somewhat by the players who wore our shirts but didn't start to play until the 65th minute.

In the Prem we have away games at Utd - they will be up for that game more than any other they have left - Liverpool where we haven't won in a while, Everton - where we never win and Arsenal. With the defecit we have we likely need 33 points from the last 12 games. Can anyone see us getting that realistically if Pellegrini persists with that numpty at the back, and Negredo continues to pull a Reggie Perrin which he has done since mid-Jan?

No one seems to allow for the fact that if we start chasing down Chelsea the pressure increases on them. The moronic one will start poking people in the eye and the whole thing could unravel for them very quickly. And if they get through in Europe they'll have a tiring squad at the wrong time of the season.

It's not as if Wigan just sat back yesterday, they took the game to us, looked more dangerous than us and ultimately deserved their victory.
Apart from the Carling Cup this season, Wigan have outplayed us in our previous three meetings. They should have won at our place last season, beat us in the Fa Cup final last season and as well yesterday.
They seem to have us worked out.

If we can lose to Barca & get knocked out of the Champions League, then our title chances, imo, are much much better than they were two weeks ago. To win at Hull is the key to getting that back on track.

If however we pull off a miracle v Barca, which having seen Barca several times recently, is very possible on our 2nd half performance v Wigan & Sunderland (they defended ten times tighter than Barca can), then imo we don't have a cat in hell's chance of winning the title.

Pellegrini has tried to play strong teams in 4 competitions & imo, the Champions League has had a bad influence on our league campaign but also the domestic cups have interfered too much, more than they are worth.

Aguero playing for 90 mins yesterday when clearly not 100% is an example. It's 50/50 whether that affects the Barca game or the Hull game or whether we get away with it.

A loss to Barca & a draw at Hull, & we are relying on Chelsea fucking up in order to win the one trophy we have left to aim at.

If we had prioritised that competition first & the Champions League 2nd, then just used the other two as fodder, I believe we would be top of the Premier League now, possibly by a margin.

We need to be 100% at it in every game, on current hit and miss form not sure we can do it. So many players are not at it, is Negredo starting to dip he to games played at 100mph week in week out, Nasri looks fresh after an injury break. We need a boost , maybe Barca will be it, or 3rd for me will be on the cards.

The encouraging thing for me is the fear being shown by Chelsea. The way Mourinho has every player coming out calling us favourites; he has clearly got it into their heads that the plan is for us to lose one of our games in hand.

If we win a couple, we may not need to know the result of the 3rd one, as they might just fuck up a game before we play it.

Whilst that might be at least partially true Chelsea are looking the the part to go on and win the league. I say that knowing that in some recent games they have been pretty dire but they have a very solid defence and the ability to score a goal when needed.Against Everton they were awful but luckily won with that late late goal.Even against Spurs they were dire until Spurs handed the game to them on a platter.

I would like to think Chelsea will mess up and they probably will but it's those games away from home for us plus our current form which is the real problem.

I agree with Doug. Chelsea aren't that brilliant, but they are solid enough at the back to keep clean sheets which mean they only need to capitalize on that one mistake. this may be all they need to do and the longer they go on without dropping points, the more the pressure will pile up on us. the Hull game is huge, we need to start keeping the pressure on them by a win there.
