Looking forward to this and think we can actually get a result if we start to fire again.

Gut feeling says we will!

Can see Garcia starting at the back with Komps but would rather have lescott. Still Garcia does seem to have woken up a bit of late. Need an early goal and go at them one hundred percent.

If that happened I think I'd actually start a 'Pellers Out' thread!

No Demi or Nasti, there can only be one to partner Vinnie in this and it ain't Garcia, regardless of how he's looked in midfield lately.

I'm sure i even saw someone mention Milner going as CB. Some shite being smoked recently.

Lescott hopefully - or just say to fuck with it and go balls deep, just 3 at the back?

We would need to keep the ball a lot better than we did in the first game (or any other game since the Spurs game).

I think the players will be much better both individually and collectively than they were in the first leg. I know the weekend was a proper stinger, but for me we are more than capable of turning Barcelona over tomorrow night. To just give up before a ball's even been kicked just seems a bit daft.

The team I'd like to see is

Zaba Komps Lescott Kolarov

Nasri Yaya Fernandinho Milner

Silva
Aguero

The fact is we need players who can press if we want to have a chance of winning, the combination of Dinho Milner Silva on one side, and Nasri, Yaya, Dinho on the other can do it. If they squeeze the play quickly enough then there is no question that they have the ability to not only get in behind Barcelona, but score goals.

No doubt Barcelona will pose an enormous threat themselves when they have the ball, but Pellegrini's system relies on the team staying very compact. At this level you have to win your individual battles, and the onus will be on the likes of Nasri, Silva, and Yaya to show they can match the work rate and movement of the Barcelona players.

I won't deny our weaknesses. I think it's going to be very very difficult for Lescott. One of the major reasons why we were so poor in the first leg IMO is because sat very deep. Tomorrow night when we have the ball the full backs will push on and Vinny will look to bring the ball into the middle of the park. Lescott needs to have the game of his life because he'll be the last man time and time again and his positioning will need to be spot on.

Maybe I've got an overly affectionate view of the character of this team, but I think they're going to surprise a lot of people. What Vinny said today is bang on. If City score first the dynamic of the game changes instantly. And I wouldn't bet against us scoring first against anyone. Not with the players we have.

This is how I see it happening ... City scores first goal inside 7 minutes ... then by 21 mins we are 2-0 up and on equal terms ...

Commentator says we have turned this tie on its head ... given that at that point if Barca score 1, we'll need just 1 as well BUT if we score 1, then Barca will need 2 ... also the fact that if it says 2-0 for us, the game goes to extra time and that's advantage city as whenever we score (more time for us), it's another away goal for us ...

Game slows down after that, as Barca doesn't want us scoring that 3rd and neither do we want them scoring ... and goes into half time with 0-2.

Second half starts, they come out flying, then we counter, a few chances here, a few there but no goals till 72nd minute, when ref gives them a dodgy penalty, Messi scores and it's 1-2 (3-2) on aggregate ...

80th minute, Brian Kidd says fuck all and throws caution to the wind and throws in the remaining two strikers off the bench ... 87th minute is the magic moment, Gary Neville chokes on air ... Tyler can't help but scream another Aguerooooooo ...

Full Time: Barca 1 - 3 City (Agg 3-3), City goes through on away goal ...

Oh well, one can dream ... right?
And then dreams do come true ... tomorrow's our day boys!

In my lifetime I've already seen City launch two monumental comebacks in the dying minutes of huge games. I'm entirely optimistic with an entire 90 minutes to play we can do something. C'mon City!

I'm thinking 4-2 to us. I'm also thinking that'll fuck up our season if it happens.

Of course, you are right but this time there should be no pressure on us whatsoever as it's only a win-win for us. Also, we showed when we actually got the ball that we can take it to BArca and the big difference for me was the sending off. They never looked like scoring until then and once we were on it we looked to have the better chances. The last goal, so late, seems inevitable as that's when you just want back in the dressing room and that's the one that I feel maybe costly.

I've still got faith that we'll go out and at least play our game this time and try to get back in the groove.
