Any of Silva, Garcia or MDM. How many times were they caught offside? Brilliantly organised defending from the makeshift centre halves. Silva was just beyond words.

I wanted to vote for Javi. Then I wanted to vote or the whole defensive line. But it just has to be Dave.

They were really well disciplined weren't they.Did you see that bit late on after Lescott came on where Zaba was a bit dozy but reacted to the others screaming like hell at him to push up.

Silva for me - immense team effort though and each to a man where workhorses and did themselves and City proud!

This is why we love City!

Big, big performances from Demi and Javi. Maybe shut some of the boo-boys up? (Doubt it).

But Merlin was out of this world. Sheer magic and he worked his rocks off like a good un.

Strangely quiet contributions from Nasri and Yaya but I'm not knocking them after all they've done this season.

El Mago for being here, there, every bloody where. Garcia and Demi plus Ferna but special mention to Dzeko who I thought worked his fuckin rocks off covering every blade of grass in defence, midfield and attack

Garcia was superb, but the timing of Silva's goal when some feared we'd just lost the Prem was sublime.

A magnificent team performance. Proper title winning stuff. Players could not be faulted. All coming after the two defeats in a week.

Enough rambling. Went for Garcia. He and Mdm were superb and it would have been so different a few months ago. Really sound performance in both midfield and defence. Silva was also superb and if i could pick two...

What I like about Demichelis is that he can fuck up, do something reckless/bizarre, have a bad game and cop for a load of shit but he never hides. Can't fault the weird-looking fucker for effort or commitment, even if I am baffled by how much game time he gets.

Fair comment that. I suppose that comes with experience. He has copped for so much flak lately, like you say it would be easy to hide.

Then Kompany does something we'd expect of MDM and all credit to Garcia and MDM. They were superb and more importantly, looked so much at ease that bringing Lescott on was actually unnecessary.

Credit also to Pellers for have the conviction that the players on the field were good enough to adapt without making a change. Great management in my view.

Speaking of players not hiding, massive thumbs up to Dzeko. Well chuffed for him for his goal. As a confidence player, hopefully it might kickstart a run of goals

Last season I could understand that view. This year however, he has finally begun to show why we paid 15 mil for him, great squad player to have. Long may his good form continue, we're gonna need him given our injury jinxes and potential suspensions.

I did have the twinge of doubt when he went to centrehalf, but figured he was awful in both positions before, now he's playing well he would be fine, and look what happened.

so yr taking credit?

cheers

p.s. Demi, Fern and Garcia were just amazing in the face of being down a man and having the wind knocked out of us. What a match. Fucking fantastic spirit from these mercenary cunts.

cheers again

Not sure how that's taking credit. I did write a post during the game saying how well he was playing and just I was going to hit submit, he cocked up and fell over, and delete, and back out slowly....okay we're good.

So I am taking credit for not fucking him up, but not here.

Dave.
Honourable mentions - Dzeko : worked his bollocks off , didn't hide after his miss, deserved his goal,
Hart - calm (apart from the dive) , commanding, made some good saves look easier than they were.
Clichy - best game for some time.
DeMich - Best game since joining us.
Others - merely heroic.
