Mancini seems to have known for some time he was up for the job, so has no doubt been studying our games and his assistant has been working as an inside agent. No doubt all the January signings are already planned and will be a far better list than what we were expecting Hughes to go for....

Hope you are right. I'm betting on Henry, Ya Ya in some sort of deal for Robinho. Maybe Ribery is a splash City will now really go for? I'd be bidding good money for Hangeland too, our defence is horrible.

I'm OK with Kiddo. The fact that he's a genuine self-confessed devilworshippers fan and has been all his life (unlike Leslie who was a Chelski fan from being a small boy) hopefully won't create the infighting that Leslie created among the fans because at least he did play for us for a couple of years.

Still, maybe it could be a touchy point for some and our heirarchy I presume have taken this into consideration.

He did a good job as Taggart's right hand man and it'll be interesting seeing how he reacts with their lot when we play at the swamp. Hopefully no friendly smiles and backslaps and tryin to get his tongue right down the back of Taggart's underpants.

Shown their true colours? What after 18 months of having a look at the incumbent they have finally decided they want their own appointment? Get a fucking grip.

Kiss my fucking arse. YOU telling people to get a grip!!! The biggest fucking panicking drama queen in cyberspace?? Give me a fucking break! Jesus. That's like Ferguson telling someone to lay off the referee.

I trusted that when these blokes said something, unlike other football administrations, they were telling the truth. Now it's bee proved that isn't the case, it could happen again whether you like it or not. I hope Mancini is still in charge in ten years but I won't be surprised if he's out in 6 months. I hope they just tell us the truth from now on.

Just to add another twopenorth about "Kiddo".

Apart from maintaining his never waining love for all that is the devilworshippers, he played for them for ELEVEN (yes eleven) years and at the time when we had finally made the breakthrough and won the league title for the first time in donkeys years, he was one of the ones that pissed on our parade by scoring a crucial goal in the European Cup Final in 1968.

Further to this, he then went back to the devilworshippers in key management roles for TEN (yes ten) years, so he was on THEIR books for over TWENTY years in total.

How does this compare with Leslie?

Is Kiddo considered a devilworshipping rag?

If not. Why not?

If so. Why will he be accepted at our beloved Blues?

Who gives a stuff? My memories of Kidd are us nearly winning the title when he was banging them in for us. Hughes playing for THEM was only a factor for a handful of people and a minor factor for most of them.

Cratey fella. I posed the questions to canvass folks oppinions. Surely you can see the potential issues that some folk may have with him after all the shite that we went through with Leslie?

I personally think that it is definately something that the board had to consider before this appointment was made.

I also remember him being a decent player for us as well as banging in a few goals against us whilst playing for those rag bastards, just like Leslie did.

I'm sure you are old enough to remember him scoring 44 goals for us Burt so you should know better! And apart from a few idiots repeatedly calling him a rag cunt it wasn't that big an issue. His inexperience with big clubs and big players and his shit tactics were far more in most peoples' minds.

So the "few idiots" (and it was definately more than a few for the record) will not also have the same rag cunt verdict of Kiddo?

I thought his strength was bringing up the kids? This also means another appointment for the youth team needs to be made.

If Mancini's English is not tip top he may have a very important role to play.

I think its important for the stability and continuity that Mancini has someone on his staff who is known to all the players, the fans and the club. I don't know how true this is of Kidd, but he's been at the club a little while now. Look at Ray Wilkins at Chelsea. Managers from all over the world come an go and yet he remains, like Clarke before him, to maintain the stability within the dressing room and on the training pitch. I would have liked to see more of Hughes backroom staff stay and work with Mancini but that was never ever going to happen. I'd like to see what Dougs view on this is.

they already did, there was a Kidd WTF? thread last night. Who cares? They are meaningless unless they are joined by serious people who have serious arguments to make against Kidd. Same as the real Hughes debate was about whether he was the best person forthe job. The rag stuff was just fluff.

Kidd is a RAG.

FACT,A bigger rag than Hughes ever was.

This thing about how rag is one person and how much is another is flawed to fuck.

Even if I did consider him to be a rag I wouldn't hold it against him so long as he did his best for us. This may come as a surprise to some people who are convinced that I didn't like hughes because of his rag past, however anybody who was around this site when we signed Andy 'Andrew' Cole will tell you that I was one of his most staunch defenders/supporters.

Kidd now has a chance to write himself into City folklore, I hope he takes that chance.

hahaha, he is like a dull humming at times, but I can tell you as a long standing member of the Hughes Out brigade that the rag thing was very little to do with it, more like "waffle, waffle, waffle and to top it all of, he is a fucking rag"
