No it's not. It's usually a yellow if the player isn't in front of goal.

And if the ball was going out anyways, why should arse have a player sent off? Oxly way very stupid but the punishment was extremely disproportionate and killed the game

Except it is, goalkeepers get sent off for handling outside their area. Saw a player in Serie A a few years ago lose it and catch the ball at the half way line, got sent off.

But that is because he is last man back, not for any other reason, right?

I am fairly certain the guy on halfway line wasn't. But let's address the goalkeeper as I'm sure that's who you were referring to.

The original argument was that is was not on target and therefore not a red card, now we are arguing that it's different for keepers because it was the last man rule?

Can't I just argue that Oxlade-Chamberlain was the last man back here then?

Of course but that ball was so off target that is was no longer a clear goal scoring chance ;)

Gibbs will have it rescinded and Oxlade-Chamberlain will avoid any further punishment. Arsenal to field a full strength side against their next three opponents.

Oh look, that includes us.

This is what will happen no doubt.

There's very few things you can challenge a ref about once he's made a decision. It's still very much 'the Ref's word is final'.

Was amazed Arsenal started without Flamini.
On the other side have been impressed with Schurrle the last couple of games I've seen him; typical modern German player, fast skilful and direct.

No it's not, they have a clear rule about this exact incident.

Unfortunately I was mistaken, it will only be a one match ban either way and that'll be Swansea.

The referee doesn't have replays. How will he know whether it was on target or not?

And this will give Whinger a perfect excuse for his defeat even though they were getting battered prior to the red card.

"Koss the Boss" is supposed to be as good as Kompany according to the Arseholes, judging by his stats. LMFAO, deluded clowns.

Our goal difference is evaporating. Still 20 mins to play.

I was gutted when I found out in the morning the Northern lights had paid us a visit - I had been awake most of that night too.
