Ladies v Villa

Get yourself along on Sunday to watch them in a pre season game against Villa. It's at the Athletics Arena starting at 2pm and would be well worth having a look at all the quality on show and hopefully another win.

I like that the season is going to be in the summer, I run my Footy team on sundays so I cannot get to games until the season finishes, but I intend to get down to quite a few games and give them support.

What we need is some songs for the ladies

Goalkeepers
Karen Bardsley
Andrea Worrall (SoF)

Defenders
Nicola Harding
Steph Houghton
Danielle Lea
Emma Lipman
Steph Marsh
Chelsea Nightingale

Midfielders
Betsy Hassett
Jess Holbrook
Jill Scott
Lynda Shepherd
Kimberley Turner

Strikers
Toni Duggan
Isobel Christiansen
Krystle Johnston
Danielle Young

Come on people get creative!

If I lived over there I would go to every game. They need to get as much support as possible. Over here we are on our fourth women's league in 20 years.

I am sure it will be well worth watching and I hope ,win or lose, that Villa are a stern test.I have watched the training now a few weeks and there is so much quality in the team. They work really hard but also with a real purpose under Nick Cushing's management. They look to pass the ball, work really hard off the ball and press to get it back.

Toni Duggan will always be a threat with her pace and quick feet,Jill Scott directing things from the middle,Jess Houghton and Betsy Hassett helping to dominate midfield and pace wide with Izzy Christiansen and Krystle Johnston. Then you have Vincent Kompany , err Steph Houghton at the back with Chelsea Nightingale. Add to to that Andrea Worrall and you have a pretty good team even if Andie isn't going to be playing.
